I honestly don't know. The rule is so damn subjective that it's ridiculous.
This right here. Not only subjective but unfair. There have been a few blocks on defenders who are far less prepared than receivers or returners. No idea why you can block the frick out of someone as high as you want but you can't tackle someone trying to make a play.
This rule has gotta go.

I was waiting on the flag.
That said, the rule is stupid, and there was a time that was a sportscenter great play.

Stupid rule.
Could have been 2010 in reverse. Bama loses key player for IB.
Honestly, that call is made, bama loses their best and most important player besides AJ and the IB impact would be huge. CJ is the qb of bama's D and bama will need him more than they ever have against AU's read option.

Shoulder to the head
I was about to post this same thing. Head was down, shoulder to the face while the returner was looking up towards the ball.
The only thing that could have made it more targeting according to everything they have said this year was for Jones to point to him as he was running while holding a sign that read "Prepare thy anus for what is coming". This was far worse than the Clowney hit in last year's bowl against Michigan and about 80% of refs interviewed claimed that would have been targetting.

Definitely a missed call. I'm guessing the ref or refs were out of position because they're usually overly eager to make those calls this yea
+1 Out of position/did not see has got to be it. It does seem like they have been a little more reluctant to make this call in recent weeks, for whatever reason.

What in heaven's name are you talking about? CJ Mosley wasn't even involved in the play. The one who made the hit was Christion Jones.

Not to mention he would serve the suspension against UTC and not against AU.

We would've lost him for the Chattanooga game, not the auburn game. Jesus!!

It's the SEC, Alabama is playing, what else do you need to know. The ref has bills to pay too.

This is what kills me about tigermiami. 60 million post and he still writes his retardance each time. It's a legacy that will live forever.
