Look, our defense just got destroyed by 2 players. Yes, one of them is potentially one of the best college qbs of all time but our defense looked awful. Twice a ball was randomly thrown into the air and caught by an aTm receiver. If their defense was anything close to as good as VT then we would have lost. We are not the best team in the country this year. Oregon would tear us to shreds. LSU will probably beat us by 10. and I forgot about Ole Miss, they will probably beat us as well.

It is funny, because when AJ McCarron made perfect throws in the BCS Championship Game against Mathieu and LSU's defense, it meant that LSU's defense was terrible and Mathieu was a joke. Now, Manziel and Evans play a great game, but Alabama still has the best defense and team in college football according to some Bama fans. According to others, they are horrible.

Maybe the truth is somewhere in the middle? Maybe there are good athletes on both sides of the ball and some days, guys just make plays? I think that is more likely.

Too much smack talk clouds people's perspective. Some people expect complete dominance all the time or they are now terrible. Others refuse to give anyone else credit. Both sides are wrong and fairly ignorant when it comes to football.

Bama won. They are a very good team. They have a great chance to win out. But, they will have to show up and fight each week. Nothing is guaranteed.

It all should be fun if we let it.

Oregon is the best team in the country right now. It feels weird typing that.

Yes, he has been without a doubt the best qb in the SEC since A&M has joined the SEC.

Let's wait for a larger sample size. After the Virginia Tech game there were many people praising our defense, especially our secondary, for the way they dominated a very bad Hokie offense. They also said our offense was beyond anemic. Two weeks later, everyone's saying our defense is shite and that our offense is amazing.

There is way too much knee-jerk reaction going around for my taste. I'm going to wait until we get a LITTLE deeper into the season before I pass final judgement on the quality of our team.
