So Saban told our DBS to let the receivers run right by them on obvious passing plays? That's American football.
The bump and run technique was atrocious on Evans on his big plays. That can be fixed. There aren't a lot of guys with the physicality of Evans either. Not a lot of guys who can extend plays like Manziel either. Sky isn't falling. You act like Alabama is incapable of getting better. Why is that?

This x1000. The silver lining for Bama on D (and o-line for that matter) is that their issues are a result of mistakes and breakdowns - not a lack of talent. You can correct mistakes/breakdowns. You can't fix lack of talent.

So you basically have no faith in this coaching staff or it's players to make adjustments and get better as the season progresses?

I know we can get better, but I watched Evans literally run by our DBS. I know that guy is huge but our defense isn't what it was last year. Our offense is pretty solid but we will get beat by a team with a solid defense and decent offense. (LSU) (Ole Miss)

He is a fan that has probably never lived through times like the Shula years, and panics the second the team has something to work on.

Dude I hate to break it to you but if we are so talented at corner if we get beat when we bump on the line by evans who is really slow...there is something wrong...
he literally out ran our DB's all day

Oregon
Does nobody remember the fiesta bowl 3 years ago? Auburn was like the worst defense ever and Oregon had statistically the best offense in the country. They were held to 19 points if I remember correctly. Just goes to show you that it doesn't mean shite until the end of the season. We are the team to beat right now and Oregon is just showing off their dick beating teams that will end up with subpar records. Get yourself together.

Hell, if Bama blew out every team we played every week it would be boring has hell to watch. A good coach and a good player wants a challenge - they want an opponent to stand up and fight.
Let the games play out and enjoy watching this team perform week to week.

He probably doesn't even understand football. Just seen we're successful and then "whoa there is something I can brag about!".
He keeps talking about receivers getting beat deep. Ah, if only there was a way to stop that. What! There is? You mean a safety over the top can?
Wait... why didn't we do that? What! Wait you mean we had to change our entire defensive scheme and leave backside with no help over the top in order to keep the heavy side covered and maintain enough presence to keep Manziel contained.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaat?

The dude is 6-7.
Let me repeat. THE DUDE IS 6-7!!!! Speed? Not a factor. The "something" that is wrong is that DBs rarely come in large sizes. 6-4 is about the maximum.

I watched all of the Shula years. They were miserable. In a less pissed off type of way, all I'm saying is our defense failed to defend some of the most simple plays. And when the ball was floating through the air why did we stand around? We will have to put up 24-27 on LSU to win.

You LSU guys need to slow your roll. Credit you beat them last year, but wait to play them before you celebrate this seasons victory.
