Let me just drop this off and I'll leave this thread to you guys.

Offenses are evolving around the country. You guys out-athlete most teams on your schedule. He's the best recruiter in the business. When you play teams that are comparably loaded with talent, his defensive schematic can be exploited by this new HUNH.

Just because that is the case for Alabama does not mean Texas am has some super magical offense that's invincible. Everyone tries to write off the way LSU defended him. Everyone says it was before he warmed up. It was 8 games in. He dominated the stats in the first quarter but we held ground in the redzone. We have a different type of athlete on defense. We've trended towards lighter yet faster guys.

Last season was no fluke, nor was last Saturday.

Alabama's defense is built to stop the run and dare opponents to pass. I haven't seen enough of LSU to believe that they can fling the ball around and create mismatches like A&M. LSU does have a defense, so that kind of equals things out, to the point where bitching and moaning about Bama's defense is more than a bit dramatic.

hopefully Belue will be back, or someone will have stepped up and will be playing solid fundamentals come November to help contain him.

What is really up with Geno Smith? I've heard about being in the doghouse, but what about his potential to contribute at corner if he gets out of the doghouse? How do you think he compares to Belue, Fulton, and Jones right now?

LSU also has a running game which I'm not so sure we can stop yet. Will be an interesting game. But first we have to beat Ole Miss.

that's pretty much spot on. aTm is going to create mismatches with whoever they are playing on their schedule.

Fluke or no fluke, it doesn't matter when we're discussing Alabama's defense. They already know how to shut down LSU and everybody else left on their schedule. There's no reason to panic given the circumstances.

I'm not sure. I think he's still in the doghouse. Saban said he's got to earn a job back right now. So either he's still on his bad side, or he's not doing what he needs to to beat someone else out at the moment.

Don't worry douchebag you will find out on thanksgiving day. Don't plan on eating much though, because I predict that you are going to be nauseated .

I can agree with that to an extent. But I think it has less to do with HUNH in general than it has to do with Manziel specifically and his unpredictability and ability to go off script. Saban thrives on preparation and exploiting an offense's tells and tendancies. Manziel is the ultimate freelancer and it negates a lot of Saban's defenses strength. I actually don't think the HUNH itself affected Alabama nearly as much as I expected.

I was impressed with LSU's defense on Manziel last year (hell, I was impressed with Alabama's defense on Manziel last year for the most part after the 1st Quarter), and I will be extremely impressed if LSU can have a repeat performance.

A&M has a running game too. It was stopped. Melina had 42 yards on 11 attempts.

That's 4 yards a carry. That's too much. LSU will get 5 or 6.

Doubt it. Mett won't be a threat to run like JFF was.

He just said he hasn't seen anything meaning he really hasn't watched our games. A&M had one guy you couldn't cover. We have two you cant cover. If Mett is having a good day you will get torched.

IF....

You're probably one of those guys who thinks everybody can beat A&M by doing nothing but running the ball, aren't you?

manziel impressed me more Saturday because his maturity level ON THE FIELD has gone up tremendously. looking safeties off, making read progressions and pre snap reads...all that combined with his unbelievable ability to get out of a terrible situation make him the most exciting player to watch.
