Texas A&M and Johnny Manziel: a contradiction of terms

We all know Aggies pride themselves on being friendly and good hosts to visiting fans, etc. This is symbolized by their official greeting: Howdy!
I can say that I very much felt welcomed on my trip to College Station. Aggies are in fact very nice, I will admit that. Most of their fanbase is very humble and are much better than most fans of Texas teams in that regard. Aggie fans are cool with me as far as I'm concerned.
However, Johnny Manziel is cut from a different cloth. He is arrogant, in-your-face, and boastful. He doesn't shy away from the spotlight...at ALL. His tweets of "KEEP HATING" do not match what we have grown to know and love from the Aggie faithful. He is the least humble college football player in America and he loves it. This swagger is more in keeping with the university located in Austin.
The number of prideful, cocky Longhorns players to strap on cleats is too great to count. Their fans take pride in it, in fact. I believe it is one of the many things we all despise about the Longhorns. So how does it come to be that the Aggies, proud only of their kindness and hospitality, are cheering for the most arrogant player in the sport? Is it that they secretly like the feeling of cheering for a Longhorn-esque player, watching him do to other teams what has been done to them for decades? The answer to this question, I don't know. Can any Aggie fans help me out??

Your Les Miles thread gets whacked and then you come with this?

It's funny because if Mack Brown wasn't a dipshit, Johnny Manziel would be a longhorn right now. He still wants to be a longhorn.

I don't know about all that, but unfortunately this describes plenty Aggies, particularly New Army.

Right now I'm envisioning this great pasture in your head where the Longhorns graze all day long.

He may flaunt a little bravado, but we Ags also hold dear traits like service, loyalty, and helping kids with cancer.
What a guy:

Manziel still wishes he were a Longhorn. Dumb aggies

Manziel is a perfect fit at Texas A+M. Don't buy into the goody two shoes myth of A+M. They are historically one of the dirtiest programs in the NCAA and often resort to cheating to get out of Big Brother's shadow. They have morals when it's convenient.

The way they act on the SECr contradicts that bullshite with or without Manziel.

Seriously?
You're talking about a 20 year-old kid you've never met, and mostly "learned about" from media snippets and posts on message boards. Then come here and attack his character?
There is a special category of "loser" you fit like a glove.

Aggies have a great fan base, nice traditions, etc. Top 5 in the country.
