There isn't a more loathsome college football program + coach combo than Alabama and Saban. That includes ND and Holtz. I hate everything about that state. I hope that fricking state secedes and takes their redneck gumptards with them.

I won't lie. If Bama doesn't win the sec champ and go to Miami I want the sugar bowl just for the hilarity that would ensue on this board. Anyone who is a member of this board and says different at this point is a liar.

Better yet, do top 16 like 1-AA. You might have to do away with the stupid conference championship games....

did saban not leave LSU in almost perfect condition? roster was stocked full of talent that any good coach could keep it going. He even built a wall around la that has held up other than when he drives a semi through it to pick up kids that we need.
some coaches leave and the program collapses because it had holes in it, like arky with petrino or what chiz has done to auburn. I dont think any coach could win ten at LSU but with the way saban left lsu a good coach should be able to keep it up and produce the same results.

I agree. I do not think Saban ever said the Gators did not deserve to go over Alabama or UGA. He said the scenario is unfair to UGA or AL. I think he fully understands the way it works but was trying to explain how unfortunate it would be for two teams that work to win their division.
I really do not think he's lobbying for anything because he understands it's a set rule. I think he was just saying it's bad for the loser of the SEC Champ game because of the way it worked out with FLA being good and having only one loss as well.

Sorry Gumps....there is no defending this one. His ego is so big that he probably actually sees nothing wrong with his statement. It is one of the most hilarious comments ever made by a college football coach. Less than 12 months ago he was crying the exact opposite argument. If I was UF, I would be politicing for the BSCNC based on Nick's argument last year. UF easily has the best, most complete resume of ANY of the 1 loss teams. They should go the BCSNC if Alabama beats UGA hands. There is no doubt about it applying last years logic. Alabama is Oklahoma St and Florida is Alabama. It is literally the exact same situation.

That may have been the single dumbest thing to post I have ever seen on this board. It wasn't poorly written or misspelled, it was just devoid of any content or perspective while simultaneously being the most obvious thing ever written. To top it off, the author didn't even get how obvious and ridiculous the comment was. I recommend an edit and try to put something in there worth saying.

The only scenario in which Saban would approve of UF being given an invite would be if he were coaching them.
