I wish Saban would just set the rules at the SEC Media Days so that we know what rules to play by before the season starts. I'm 100% certain that the Birmingham office will grant Saban his wishes.

It's a lot harder to maintain a successful program that another coach built than it is to take a struggling program and make it successful. Not just any coach can maintain a winner.

LSU had a lot of talent when Saban got there. So did Bama. Spurrier was right about him, he hasn't ever had to build anything from scratch.

It's a different standard for the BCSCG vs the BCS bowl berths. I can understand why people think he's a hypocrite, but I can also see where he makes the distinction. Bowl berths that are not the BCS Championship are given to conference champions, so I assume his thinking is that a division champion is the runner up to a conference champion. The BCSCG makes no mention of champions... only 1 and 2.
