miles averages 2.5 but the program was given to him in much better condition than saban found it in.

saban took over a team missed bowls in 98 and 99 and had extremely crappy coaching and turned them around and laid the foundation for what was to come later.

Miles just had to maintain and he has done that but he has had problems closing out a perfect season because of ingame coaching.

what was wrong with LSU when saban left that miles had to fix?
qb situation was good, team was full of talent and our recruiting ground was locked up.

I totally agree with Saban's comments.

It's a different standard for the BCSCG vs the BCS bowl berths. I can understand why people think he's a hypocrite, but I can also see where he makes the distinction. Bowl berths that are not the BCS Championship are given to conference champions, so I assume his thinking is that a division champion is the runner up to a conference champion. The BCSCG makes no mention of champions... only 1 and 2.

You shouldn't have as rigorous a standard for you national title game as you should for your prestigious bowl games.

Not sure why Saban wants the sugar. His team will just be demotivated and embarrass the conference again.

Well, those are the rules. I didn't write them. Have you read them?

Because you purport to quote things that aren't a quote and a coach revealed that his inconsistent position was last year. He has returned to his original position, and Bama fans are trying to justify it by laughing and pretending like they aren't a bunch of sheep that quote talking points on message boards.

Any other questions?

Got it. So it's okay (and the most obvious thing in the world according to you) for a fan who really has no significant vested interest to want the best possible outcome for their team, but not for a coach who is paid to achieve the best possible outcome for their team. Very interesting.

Given the preposterous argument you just made which there isn't a rule for anyway, I know you haven't read them because it is obvious you can't read.

If you didn't understand the context of the post it is probably because your arse is still sore After losing the nc and your revenge game on your home field. I get it and I wasn't saying we would go or should but if you don't think the humor on this board that would ensue if Florida was screwed over by Bama after that statement then I don't know what to tell you. Grow up and quit letting these Bama arse whippings cloud your judgement.

Championship Replacement If any of the bowls’ traditional anchor hosts have been lost to the BCS National Championship Game, that bowl will be allowed to select a replacement team from the eligible pool before other picks are made. If more than one bowl loses a host conference champion, the bowl which lost the BCS No. 1 will choose its replacement from the pool first, followed by the bowl that lost the BCS No. 2.

I bet you do.

How'd you like the Bama board the other day?

I hope you learned a valuable lesson.

Still with nothing new or original to say. Shocking.

It has to be that way because of the lack of consistency between the conferences. They even make the point that 3 teams from a conference can make BCS games if neither 1 nor 2 in the BCS is the conference champion.

So, we should have played Georgia again in the BCS NCship. Got it. Thanks.

I understand this part. Which is why I said that I understand that people think him a hypocrite. I just don't think his point goes against his stance last year as much as others do.

I do not think he's being a hypocrite. I think he was responding to the scenario and the way it played out. He's not saying UGA or AL deserve to play over the Gators for the Sugar Bowl. He's saying that due to the fact that FLA has 1 loss that it is unfortunate for the loser of the SEC Champ game that they will not get a chance to play for the Sugar Bowl.

That's my best shot at explaining it.
