People don’t see the 40ish operator that takes vacation around their kids bring out of school, birthdays and anniversaries. They don’t see the operator that comes off nights and stays up smelling like FCC bottoms and gets their kids ready for school and on the bus. Or the operator that puts in 12 then drives 2hrs to make a sporting event, goes home, sleeps 2hrs and goes back to work. Are sacrifices made? Absolutely! Is there a balance you must work to achieve between work and family? Absolutely! Family first, full stop….
This is all me Except the FCC part. I don’t get dirty anymore  I mean, if I do, it means it was just a shite day. And that’s been rare *knock on wood*

So you’re insinuating that I don’t have good kids or a good home life? Just curious as to what you believe is happening with everyone here discussing this. I’ve given you zero details of how much I work or how much I make.
Yet, you’re assuming I’m never at home and my kids and wife hate me?

You're full of it and making excuses. I make the drive a hour each way and have 3 small children and my wife works. Stop making excuses because you're scared, lazy or couldn't get hired.
And hour each way and you have to be there for 4-5. So you’re driving the the wildlife refuge at 3, half asleep. You’ll get him 6-7 pm and in before for 8-830 so you can wake up at 2. No f’ing thanks.

re: When did you/your kids stop believing in Santa?
Posted by Prominentwon on 12/25/25 at 11:21 am to BamaCoaster
When they figured it out on their own. We didn’t push it….we didn’t try to talk them out of it. When they can come up with their own conclusions, then we let them know what was going on…
Although, they do like participating. My 15 year old was tracking Santa last night. My 13 year old put cookies out before bed….I started eating them before bed and he came out and in his playful voice…..hey hey! No! That’s for Santa! I better not ever SEE that again.
So they still have fun with it.

Double time day yesterday and today.
Once I leave out of here today though, I’m off for a week.

I’ve heard Venture starts off around $60 an hour and you can move up past $75 an hour quickly.
It’s not that much. Had one of our guys got talked into going down there and we sat and broke it down with benefits and all that. Starting around $46-49 an hour. After the sign on bonus, it looks like it’s more, but it’s not.
That is just not enough to pay me to drive an hour and a half to Cameron each work day after waking up at 2:30 am to get there. On top of there are already a ton of senior guys taking tons of vacation and you’re left covering for it because they don’t have the site completely manned yet. It was something to that extent. So you’re there for 3 out of the 4 weeks of the month.
No fricking thanks. Too much driving and the schedule is 7 and 7. Wednesday to Wednesday. I’m out. Couldn’t pay me double to do that bullshite. I’d be divorced in a year and she’d take 3/4 of it all.

It’s just that black and white, huh? You had zero sources. Zero information. What security clearance with the government do you have? How much do you know that you didn’t get off of the Internet? Who was the reporter you got your info from?
For something so easy and black and white, there MUST be a paper trail because how else did you figure this all out?

But what if it is? You really don’t think there are foreign operatives out there who don’t have our best interests at heart? You seriously believe that everything you see online or in the news covers the only reasons Trump is pushing hard on Venezuela?
Don’t you think the United States…with all its advanced defense and intelligence capabilities we don’t even know about, has solid info on what’s really going on behind the scenes?
We only ever hear the surface-level stuff, and that’s all we’ll probably ever get. There are likely deep-cover operations in play that most of us couldn’t even wrap our heads around.
Sometimes… it is our problem.

Yet, when his opponents in the media meet him person, it’s a whole different outcome. Why is that?
Exhausting.

HS Coaching Change - Sulphur hires David Feaster (former Parkway coach)
Posted by Prominentwon on 12/16/25 at 11:06 am
Just curious if any of y’all have seen him coach. He’s been around a long time and had a few different stops. Seems like most coaches, if he’s got some talent, he’s had some success. Coached Brandon Harris and Justin Rogers at Parkway.
Any behind-the-scenes thoughts or comments?
Sulphur has always had the numbers, but over the last decade kids just haven’t really wanted to play football. Feels like the numbers have dropped a little more every year. Coaching hasn’t helped either, to be honest.
Also coached Many, Minden, and Leesville
