LSU fans are like the mafia; they're literally everywhere. I live in DELAWARE(!) and there's a family of alums down the street from us. I'm not an alum, but congrats to the LSU program and Coach O.

I thought it was strange that a #21 ranked team was a 1.5 pt underdog at home to a team that just lost at home to Troy. Three things: I'm glad LSU pulled it together and won. Florida is awful. Vegas is always right.

As my username indicates, I didn't go to LSU, but I do follow them and usually pull for them. I want them to win, really. But as a guy looking from the outside in...

I would think that LSU is one of the top 5 coaching jobs in the country, in ANY sport, college or pro. I cannot for the life of me understand why you guys can't recruit, interview and hire a better candidate than EO. Or LM for that matter. You had the Godfather and you lost him. Help a transplant Yankee understand, because I don't. I can only hope this season doesn't turn into the abortion it appears it's going to.

When you say "We" do you mean "We Bama" or "We the SEC"?

The "We <insert school>" is fine. It's the "We SEC" that I don't understand.

Must be a new thing because when I lived in the South I never heard an LSU fan say, for example, "I hope Bama wins their bowl game tonight for the pride of the SEC."

I get rooting hard for your team. What I don't get is rooting for a conference.

How can you have a favorite team, a second favorite team and a third favorite team from the SEC?

As retarded as some of these posts are, I think the point is they play football outside of the SEC and maybe the SEC isn't as dominant as some of us would like to think.

LSU and Florida losing to supposedly inferior competition sort of makes the case.

I think ND may make that case on Jan 7.

You mean lesser conferences like the ACC that had a team punk LSU? I love SEC football but the superiority thing is getting old. LSU got beat because of several reasons, one of them being they thought they were too good to be playing Clemson in the Chik-Fil-A bowl. That game was Clemson's NC game and it showed.

Schedule ND next year instead of Bowling Green, Towson, Texas State, etc. I'd love to see ND play Bama, LSU, or Florida early in the year in a non conf game. Or invite ND to the SEC. I don't know.

ND plays a style of football that lends itself to closer games. Kind of like LSU. You can't say ND doesn't belong because they don't blow out everyone on their schedule when LSU struggles with a bad Arkansas team.

I can't believe I'm defending ND, because I can't stand them, but one thing's for sure, we're gonna find out if they're for real.
