I'd be curious to know how many of these Alabama fans regularly watched/went to games before Saban's arrival. Chances of getting honest answers = 0%

Like any major program the fringe fans wax and wane, according to what cycle the program is in (up or down). But Alabama has a massive fanbase either way. Most of the folks on here are hardcore fans, like myself. Fans all of their lives, students, graduates, etc.

Been going to at least 1 game a year since Bill Curry was losing to yall on the reg.

Some seasons I might make a few more games. But on average, 1-2 games a year for almost 25 years.

Watching games since I was a kid - so the 80s.

Been going to games since 1990.

What is a question like that supposed to prove?

Wonder how many AU fans have jumped on and off the bandwagon since 2010?

Do you regularly switch teams when a coach is hired? I remember losing to Bo and being mad. I was in awe of DT. I caught flack in high school when Bama lost to Miami. I returned the favor when Bama stomp Miami's arse.

I did. Followed anyways. No way to prove it of course. I was stationed in Darmstadt, Germany, and stayed up until all hours to listen to Bama lose on "Yahoo Sports Radio". I paid money for that shite.

I've been watching since the mid 90s. 2002 - 2007 were some of the worst I've seen.

I have missed one home game since 1997. That good enough for you?

My first Bama game was against Ole Miss in 1992. I was a week from turning 5. I've been to at least 3 games a year since 1993. My freshman year at UA was in 2006, Shula's last year. Last week's Ole Miss game was my 137th Bama game. Bama is 102-35 in those games.

I can be honest. I went to/watched every game I could. I had great friends that played on the team--most are still my friends. I don't know if I would have gone to as many games if they weren't forking over the free tickets, but I would have certainly watched on TV...at least for a half or so.

I've never lived in Alabama nor did I attend the university but have been a fan and followed the program as closely as possible since the days of Paul W. Bryant.

Lifelong 'Bama fan. Current alum. First game attended was '03 NIU, so yeah, I suffered through the Mikes as much as anyone else. I made up for being present for that travesty by being a student during the Saban years. All my life, any game I couldn't watch on TV, I listened to on the radio, no matter how shitty the game was. Always blew my non-Bama fan friends' minds. I wondered why they didn't do it if they were as much of a superfan as I was.
