Do you think it is a coincidence that Bama fans are calling in predicting a big win? Do you think for just one second that maybe the calls are screened in such a manner that somehow all the delusional fans get through?

Because you don't make it on the air with "Aww gee, I don't know. I think we have a shot, but they DID beat us at home. Hmmmm. Nope. Just don't know who's gonna win!"

Yeah but one would think you would make it on the air with thoughts on how this victory will be achieved. Like "what are we going to do differently against just Jefferson and how are we going to stop the lateral running game"? Or "how are we prepared to attack them if they commit a spy to TR"? Just didn't realize it was 100% total redneck shite.

Don't bother telling them this. Another one of these knuckledragging mouthbreathers will start a thread tomorrow because of some stupid bullshite he heard a redneck say on Finebaum. They are too stupid to figure out that the call in segment of the show is supposed to be a joke.

Again I ask, have you even read the sticky prediction thread at the top of this page? It contradicts much of what you espouse in your OP. This is the classic case of seeing / hearing only what you want to see / hear.

Have any of the callers given you any reason to think that they have any knowledge of football? What you are describing to me sounds like a call screener compiling callers merely to titillate the national audience.

THIS. I'm continually amazed at rival fans that whine about Alabama fans on the Finebaum show and how they supposedly represent the average Bama fan and are somehow unique in their homerism. The callers on shows like Finebaum's represent the lunatic fringe of their fanbase.

As for overconfident homerism, the OP must not read Tiger Rant much. Alabama shouldn't even bother showing up it's going to be such a beatdown on Jan 9th according to them. The OP wouldn't want all LSU fans judged by the Rantards on that board.

Fans are fans and Alabama does not corner the market on fans that believe in their chosen team. The better questions is:

Why any rational person would not realize that listening to a talk show in your opponents largest city might lead to the shows/hosts home team receiving biased coverage. YOU ARE LISTENING TO A TALK SHOW IN A TOWN AUBURN FANS CALL BAMAHAM!

Will you tell him that you guys don't often get a fair shake...let alone an out of state team.

ETA: except for last year when Mr Paul jumped on the bandwagon so he could be part of the Cam show.

Anyone on either side that says this game will be a decisive victory for either team is not living in reality.

Ya think? You sound like a humble fan but still seemed to give Alabama a slight chance to win. Anyone who thinks this game isn't a 50/50 toss up is kidding themselves. Alabama doesn't need "certain" things to happen to "feasibly" win this game. Go check the rant y'all have fans saying Alabama has no shot.

It was also interesting that Finebaum told this woman that if LSU does happen to win, Les Miles will have beaten Nick Saban 3 times in a row and went even further to say that Saban will have Les Miles tread marks on his back. The woman however was not phased at all.

Those Bama fans are no different than the LSU fans who say the same thing on this board every day.

Catch my sarcasm? I'm acknowledging that Bama could very well beat LSU but apparently LSU has absoultely no shot in hell this time.

So, have you read the prediction thread at the top of the page or not? If not, you should really read it and you will realize the fallacy of your argument in the OP.

You didn't seem very sarcastic in the OP. Just as many LSU fans are predicting a beat down.

well i've read delusional statements from both sides. and thats ok, we all got that crazy uncle in the family. hes nutz, but we still love him. same thing with our fan bases.

as a bama/sec fan, i just hope its as intense as the first game. we, sec fans, seem to be the only ones in the country that really appreciate and recognize the value of good/great defense. let the other guys have the video game football. i'll take another defensive sloberknocker anyday. and cheer like hell if bama wins. but if lsu wins again, i most certainly will tip my hat and wholeheartedly congratulate the national champions.

The game is 50/50 if you think there should be a huge difference in the game, then your just a sunshine pumper for your team...
