re: This Tiger Stadium problem was years in the making (long)
Posted by BunchONuns on 10/12/13 at 6:56 pm to oilfieldtiger
I have had four season tickets for 15 years and yes, every game is on TV. But, that's not why I don't go anymore. I don't go because I don't want to listen to piped in techno music. I want to listen to our great band but can't because immature idiots feel empowered by cursing. It seems odd to me that the very "corporate" people taking over the stadium would be the last ones wanting the changes that are occurring inside the stadium game experience. It's bizzaro world and the only thing being looked at is how much immediate money can be made. I'm an old fart but it's still such a shame.

Thanks and great post. I enjoyed reading your thoughts. Don't let the simpletons that rule this place and mock you with "cliff notes please" and "too long" knock you down. They have the attention span of a gnat and half of their 10,000 posts are of a dancing banana.

Great post!
We need more of this IMO.
I come here to read, learn, and enjoy the banter. I do not enjoy nor understand the tl:dr comments which appears to come from many who spend countless hours on this site and have tens of thousands of posts.
I also don't get how many feel like they own this site becasue they have posted a dancing banana 5,000 times.

re: Just ordered the game on ESPN Gameplan. What did it cost in your city?
Posted by BunchONuns on 9/15/12 at 11:17 am to thekid
$25 with Directv here in Houston. Getting ready to watch Auburn - ULM on ESPN Gameplan. I used to buy the $140 package but now you can buy ESPN gameplan for just the day for $25.
re: Where were you when the Blue Grass Miracle happened?
Posted by BunchONuns on 2/15/12 at 10:48 pm to Broham
In the Kiva Dunes Golf Clubhouse/Lounge in Gulf Shores, AL. Saw the kickoff and last two plays after finishing a round of golf. I actually was more shocked that we were losing than the miracle play itself.
re: I feel sorry for JJ

I too feel sorry for JJ and have always felt that he is not a very good quarterback. It's a shame that it had to end this way for him.
re: THANK YOU JARRETT LEE!!!

Ditto Jarrett Lee. You are a class act and a great person which will serve you well for the rest of your life. Thanks for all you did for this team. In the end, I believe you deserved better.

It was also interesting that Finebaum told this woman that if LSU does happen to win, Les Miles will have beaten Nick Saban 3 times in a row and went even further to say that Saban will have Les Miles tread marks on his back. The woman however was not phased at all.

re: Here's a small guide to NOLA for some of you clowns.

My recommendation is to go to Bourbon St during the day hours. Much nicer and cheaper to drink.
re: Visitor Info

Call your hotel or check with the concierge. New Orleans is built on tourism and the city is very prepared for big events like this. If you haven't been to New Orleans in 20 years, you are going to love it. I have been to the last two BCS chammpionship games in New Orleans and had the time of my life. There will be only 75,000 in the dome for the game but I am gussing over 100,000 LSU fans and more than 60,000 Bama fans in the Quarter. My only caution is remember that the later it gets, the more potential for problems......ie; way too many drunk people in too little space. I find it best to party during the day in the quarter and then after dinner go to the casino. You'll save a lot on beer as well during the day. It's going to be a blast! Have fun.
re: Who here is confident that LSU wins a rematch with Bama?
Posted by BunchONuns on 12/4/11 at 2:28 pm to 13SaintTiger
I am very confident that we beat Bama again......much easier this time. I am also glad that we suffered no serious injuries yesterday.
re: Brad Edwards still pushing Bama

Brad Edwards a Bama graduate............'nuff said.
re: Wow, this ESPN announcer is telling..
Posted by BunchONuns on 12/3/11 at 10:02 pm to Eighteen
its sickening watching ABC/ESPN today...IDGAF who LSU plays but the amount they are pushing for a rematch is sad
Everyone needs to settle down. It's not an ESPN agenda, it's not bias, it's simply business. ESPN wants and is promoting Bama because of one thin and one thing only.............ratings which = $. For their business which is televising the BCS nat'l championship game, Bama brings higher ratings. It's the same reason that ESPN shows highlights of Notre Dame for 10 minutes every Sportscenter and all ESPN radio talks about is the Giants and Jets.

No I would not.
re: So now LSU is in the position of an NFL team in week 16-17

I understand your point but I want an SEC championship to go along with the national championship.

Have you EVER seen them disclose where any of their guys(non-athletes) graduated from?
Nope.
Nope.

Thanks LSUMatt!
How come no one (ESPN) ever discloses that Brad Edwards is an Alabama graduate?

re: I love Les Miles
Posted by BunchONuns on 11/2/11 at 8:23 pm to TideSaint
Thanks. You hit the nail on the head regarding Miles.
In return, I loved when Saban was here and hated to see him leave for Miami. He was a very good coach, recruiter, and overall program manager then and still is now.
Bama is lucky to have Saban and LSU is even luckier to have Les Miles.
