They really just said that Bama/Florida and UGA/Florida are worst rivalries then State/Ole Miss.

IMO the two most intense rivalries are State/Ole Miss and Bama/Auburn. I feel that you have to be in the same state to have the most intense rivalries, because they have to live next to each other.

Sports Night Fail.

Not a rivalry.

Better than the State/Ole Miss rivalry.

I would also take UT/Bama over State/Ole Miss.

Au/ UGA aren't even each others biggest rivalry. That's also the most polite rivalry I've ever seen, more respect than hate.

UT and UGA also do not compete with Bama and Florida anymore and wont until saban and Meyers is gone. OM has won once in Starkville in 13 years and state hasn't won in Oxford in 11 years, that's how balanced that rivalry is. You really lose a lot of hate when you win two in a row and forget what it's like to lose to someone you hate that bad.

We played each other a grand total of about 35 times. And we've never played annually, at least in the regular season.

IMO, the SEC rivalries are in this order

1 - Alabama/Auburn
2 - Georgia/Florida
3 - Mississippi/Mississippi State
4 - Alabama/Tennessee
5 - Georgia/Auburn

Alabama/Florida is NOT a rivalry. A great and important game, recently? Yes, but that does not make a rivalry.

LSU/FL is more a rivalry than Bama/FL, and that is still not even a rivalry

State vs. OM is 10-10 over the past two decades

UGA vs. Florida is 3-17

It is a SECCG rivalry.

This is the first time both teams have been atop their divisions in 20 years. Both teams were wandering through the wilderness.

How is the Ole Miss/MSU rivalry intense? That game usually decides who will finish last in the West. Not much at stake there at all.

Factors that make a rivalry great:

- Playing every year
- Hatred
- Competitive series
- High stakes
- People outside the rivalry ever giving a shite about the game

When you go down that list, the Egg Bowl starts out great, but then you realize that nothing's ever at stake and nobody ever cares about the game.

These are all better than the Egg Bowl rivalry:
Iron Bowl
Cocktail Party
3rd Saturday in October
AU/UGA
LSU/Arky
LSU/UF
LSU/Bama

LSU beats its rivals down into subrivaldom.
