the epic fail you had that day with vilma/harper will be hard to match.

But it wasn't an epic fail.
Jesus : Water : Wine :: xiv : fail : win
The analogy above was in full effect that day.
Nevertheless, if you're having to dig up something from almost a year ago at this point to save face in an argument when you COULD just be telling me stories about all those awesome Egg Bowls in years past that I'm sure exist....

quote:Right, because you can't give examples of why the Egg Bowl is so awesome. You have no argument, so you're trying to get personal, and you're not doing very well at it.

More people attend LSU/Arky, LSU/UF, and LSU/Bama than attend the Egg Bowl.
More people attend the LSU/Arkansas game only half the time because every other year is played in War Memorial.
Here's an important number, Adam:
0.
The number of wins over the past two seasons, LSU has earned against SEC teams that finished ranked in the final polls. LSU is 0-7 against the quality teams of the SEC the past two seasons. LSU is 1-8 overall with the one win coming against an overmatched and overrated #22 Georgia Tech squad. Win a big time rivalry game, and then come and brag about how awesome those games are.

Then why do you keep talking about this?
Say what you want about any LSU rivalry...it's still better than the Egg Bowl, about which no one gives half a shite.
That in your opinion. If you asked the average LSU or Arky fan who they havea gut wrenching hate for you would not get the same answer. In Mississippi and Alabama you would get the same answers. The truest rivalries are in-state.

i watch the egg bowl every year, i know how big it is to OM and MSU fans. I don't need to prove to you why it it's such a good rivalry.

For those of you acting like you don't give a shite about what xiv thinks, some of you are sure getting pissed off

We've played LSU in Little Rock, Shreveport, Memphis, Fayetteville, Baton Rouge, and Dallas for a combined 55 games.

These are all better than the Egg Bowl rivalry:
Iron Bowl
Cocktail Party
3rd Saturday in October
AU/UGA
LSU/Arky
LSU/UF
LSU/Bama
These are rivalries-
Iron Bowl
Cocktail Party
3rd Saturday in October
AU/UGA
These are NOT rivalries-
LSU/Arky
LSU/UF
LSU/Bama
And despite how shitty the game may be, The Egg Bowl is a rivalry.

LSU could go 0-12 this year, and it still has multiple rivalries, as subpar as they might be on the grand scale, that are better than the Egg Bowl.
Again, the Egg Bowl is a cute little game, and I watch it when I get a chance because I'm a completist when it comes to college football (I want to watch every game I can possibly see), but it's no great rivalry.

The schools aren't in the same state, so it's not a rivalry, dude. We don't understand the intense emotion that goes into a real rivalry.

this thread did not start out talking about the egg bowl or any other bowl. It was about the rivalry between two teams that spans lifetimes not just one game every season.
