Folks, It’s been an absolute pleasure . . .

I’ve had ton of fun conversing, cracking jokes/gifs and riding high with everyone over the years - actually more fun than anyone should have in an online forum.
However, after putting in over 15 years and a little over 24,000 posts - it’s time for me to simply retire Bham4Tide (heck I don’t even live in Bham anymore!) - and no, I don’t do alters, so this will be it.
Not sure if it’s me or the site declining but I’m just not enjoying it anymore. I guess that’s the telltale sign of anything in life - and when it’s time to move on. Not saying I won’t leer here and there during football/bball season - but it’s time to sign off for good.
So, adieu, chow, keep up the good fight, live long and prosper, stay thirsty my friends, and as always, Roll Tide!

In all seriousness why ? Is it because Alabama isn't the pinnacle of CFB anymore ? Are the anonymous serial down voters getting to you ? I think it's fairly easy to spot the obvious trolls & frankly a lot of the ridiculous stuff that gets posted here over the last couple of seasons is just folks throwing out shite looking for answers from the football program that hadn't had to been asked during Saban's tenure. Yeah TRant is garbage but don't let shite get to you so much. This place is still better than alot of other platforms.

There are a handful of people here who know ball who are great to talk with, but the site doesn’t want this community to grow for Bama fans from what I can tell because they’re pro-LSU so the only real pull here is that it’s free.
Kind of unfortunate but with the most interesting A day in years we were barely even getting conversations going yesterday.

I certainly can't speak for anyone else but I think the lack of conversations is honestly because other than KR pulling away in the qb competition nothing got answered. From what I was able to see the rbs are still not the greatest at pass protection and whoever #71 is whiffed a couple of times on blocks. I'd like to be encouraged by the d line & linebackers based on yesterday but going off who they were up against on the other side I'm holding off of being optimistic.

It’s hard to get away from the LSU bias of this overall operation and it’s especially tough because every living human being connected with LSU is never going to get over Jan. 9, 2012, that turned them all into raving, slavering lunatics who are convinced a sin was committed against them before God that night and are eternally seeking vengeance.
Still it’s the best free option even with the serial downvoters (thank you sir, may I have another

I mean if you want to say traffic was down because most weren’t there and it wasn’t televised I can see that a bit, but there were dozens of observations about players and projections to be made even with the bad coverage that could be analyzed for days and no one here is really locked in to do that while other platforms have huge threads moving.

True dat.
I used to have a grudging respect for LSU, unlike Tennessee and the Barn, but now I hope they get absolute mudholes stomped into them in every game or match they compete in at any level against any opponent, men’s or women’s.
