Besides Helton and Dickey, did any of these play in the MLB?
I don't know who any of these names is.

Quite literally, all of them are in the MLB currently or retired MLB players. You have no baseball knowledge I guess

I know older LSU fans love McDonald but Skenes is the only right answer

Just in general? Babe Ruth, Barry Bonds....Benny "The Jet" count?
Gators baseball? Oh boy. Pete Alonzo is pretty well known, right? I honestly got nothing.

Skenes wouldn't have made the weekend rotation at UT IIRC.

Put Russ Johnson at 3rd instead of Tommy White

P: RA Dickey
is this based on how good they were in college or what they became later? Because RA Dickey is not the best college pitcher Tennessee has ever had
I guess I'm just trying to understand the assignment. Is it "list your best MLB players who played for your school"?

Yes he is lol. He holds almost every pitching record at Tennessee. The only thing he doesn't have is a SEC Pitcher of the Year award but that didnt exist in the 90s. The only person you could argue for is Luke Hochevar.
Dickey was also the main pitcher for some of the winningest teams at Tennessee

correct. is the best pitcher in Tennessee baseball history

Which year would he have won it? Wouldn't have been 1995 or 1996. And it wouldn't have been his freshman year in 1994 either.

you sure about that?
The only record I see him having is the wins record. Doesn't hold the single season or career strikeout record. Doesn't hold the single season or career ERA record. He doesn't even crack the top 10 in ERA in career or single season

He's tGOAT coach in college baseball history. No if's, and's, or but's about it.

He would have won it in 1996 or been runner up. Either way Hochevar had a better year in 2005 than any Dickey year, but Dickey had the better career at Tennessee

nope. That would have gone to consensus All-American Eddie Yarnall
Yarnall
11-1, 2.38 ERA, 124.2 IP, 156 K, 1.13 WHIP
Dickey
9-4, 2.76 ERA, 127.1 IP, 137 K, 1.15 WHIP

I mean maybe you are right, Yarnell had a great year too. No one knows who would've gotten the award. Yarnell played on a much better team
Either way Dickey was also an All American that year too, an Olympian unlike Yarnell, and a higher MLB draft pick so obviously somebody preferred him more.
This isn't a LSU vs Tennessee thing, this is a Dickey vs Hochevar thing, and Dickey had the better career both in college and MLB.

We are 3 of 4 deep at each position so I don't think I can narrow it down.
