1B - Justin Smoak
2B - Adam Everett
SS-Brian Roberts
3B - Brian Buscher
C - Landon Powell (Grayson Griener honorable mention)
LF - Marcus McBeth (I just did outfielders, because he did play CF)
RF - Jackie Bradley Jr
CF - Jon Coutlangous
P - Earl Bass, Michael Roth, Matt Price

Coach - Ray Tanner

My knowledge is mostly 1999 and on. 3rd Base was hard and I am probably missing someone. Carolina had good teams but never great MLB prospects

Was this in reference to my LSU lineup? Because Paul Skenes literally was named the 2025 Cy Young winner 5 months ago.

Arkansas IMO

I'd have to go Casey Martin at SS

And it would be difficult to keep Ryan Lundquist out of the outfield over Gentry.

Maybe until the opposition realized he was like Serrano (not Serraneaux) and he couldn't hit a curve ball.

Tom Pagnozzi has to be up there. Both had 12 year careers. Pags had a MLB lifetime BA of .253, OBP of .299, slugging .359 and OPS of .658. Only 44 HRs though.

McCann had a BA of .242, OBP of .294, .382 slugging and OPS of .676 and 97 HRs.

I would have to give it some thought about position, but these 2 with Buck Showalter and Jake Mangum batting ahead of them would be a solid start. Mitch Moreland, Hunter Renfroe, Tanner Allen, and Adam Frazier would probably be there as well. Bobby Thigpen would be my top reliever.

Showalter said he always introduces Clark and Palmiero as the 2nd and 3rd best hitters in MSU history.
