Trent Dilfer
Brad Johnson
Sam Darnold?
Earl Morrall?

Darnold had a pretty good season, I wouldn't put him in the Dilfer camp IMO.
- 5th in passing yards
- 2nd in YPA
- 8th in completion %
- 10th in TDs
- 9th in TD%
- 5th in passing yards
- 2nd in YPA
- 8th in completion %
- 10th in TDs
- 9th in TD%

I'm not saying he was bad by any shape, but he also led the NFL in turnovers with 20 (14 INT). Kind of crazy the guy that led the NFL in turnovers didnt have any in the playoffs, granted he tried pretty hard last night and the Patriots would not oblige.
He just kind of seems like an average-ish dude at QB in the NFL.

Fair enough. Darnold has been very solid this year. I'm not sure who would bump him though. To be honest one of the very worst performances by a SB winning QB was Peyton Manning when the Broncos beat the Panthers. A damn LB won the MVP.

It has to be Jim Kelly, Dan Marino and Fran Tarkenton. They never won it and are in the hall of fame.

Those poor Bills teams... stacked, multiple trips, no wins.

The question refers to SB winning QBs.
Kelly and Marino are all-time greats.
I put Fran in the same class at Archie. Great athlete and fun to watch, but not exactly an all-time great QB as a passer. Archie in particular had pretty atrocious career numbers.

Ben Roethlisberger had probably the worst game for a winning QB in 2005
9-21, 123 yards, 0 TDs, 2 INTs, 22.6 passer rating
Antwaan Randle El threw the best pass of the night for the Steelers. Strange stat Hines Ward had as many receiving yards as Ben had passing yards.

Jeff Hostetler for the Giants.

Here is an interesting one...Johnny Unitas
While he did win NFL Championships on the field...the only Super Bowl he won was Super Bowl V (1971 vs Dallas).
Unitas was the starter, but was injured and taken out of the game in the 2nd quarter with the Colts down 13-6. Earl Morrall came in and led the Colts to victory 16-13. Before being taken out, Unitas completed 3 out of 9 passes for 88 yards and a touchdown, with 2 interceptions. He also had 1 carry for 4 yards.
The 1 TD Unitas threw was a 75 yarder to John Mackey. Funny thing is...it wasn't intended for Mackey. The ball deflected off receiver Eddie Hinton and Cowboys defender Mel Renfro before Mackey caught it. It traveled about 20 yards in the air before Mackey caught it, then he ran the additional 55 for the TD.
Interesting thing is...if Renfro hadn't tipped the ball, Mackey would have been considered Ineligible and the TD wouldn't have counted. In the 70s there was a rule against consecutive touches by Offensive players. Since Renfro touched the ball, it was considered a completion and the TD tied the score 6-6.
So, while Unitas did start the game, it was the backup that actually won the game for them. Unitas finished 1-1 in Super Bowls with his only win actually being provided by Morrall. I guess that would make it a "Morrall Victory" for Unitas.

I think that is worst game for a Winning QB for Super Bowl, but also tough to put him on "Mt Rushmore" because he won SB XLIII with a great game and 2 minute TD Drive to win the game.

Only 36 different QBs have won a Super Bowl. 22 of those have also won a SB MVP.

Yeah I mean the perspective on this question is skewed...
Worst game? Roethlisberger
Worst season? Manning
Worst career? Dilfer
Worst game? Roethlisberger

Worst career? Dilfer
