Congratulations to the Big 5

Would be interesting to take out the CEOs who inherited their roles. Figure the undergrad diploma had nothing to do with the position.

Side note: Miami of Ohio, who knew?

I did a quick look at Alabama's CEO list:

Atmos Energy
* Kevin Akers - worked there 22 years before making it to CEO, was VP previously

ONEOK
* Pierce Norton II - worked here for 10 years, was EVP prior to being CEO

Oxy
* Vicki Hollub - worked for Oxy for 40+ years, was EVP prior to her role as CEO

Xylem
* Matthew Pine - worked at Xylem for 4 years prior to being CEO; was COO before that

So at least none of these are CEOs of family businesses. I can't imagine there are many like that in the S&P 500, honestly.

Since this is a sports board, it doesn't look like this translates to winning anything of note.

Where are all of the other schools in the SEC?? I don’t see them anywhere on this list.

CFOs generally report to the CEO.

Far less legal liability exposure than CEO; similar perks

No fricking thank you...too much of an introvert for that kinda public persona.

I'll stick to my middle management for another 20 years, and sail off into retirement.

But props to those folks...takes a unique personality.

The fact that "No Bachelor's Degree" already tops the list is telling. Think that gap is just going to widen dramatically in the days ahead.

They put a #1 by Penn, but above them is No Bachelors Degree. Chalk one up for Mike Rowe.

Yeah that's not a shocker.

The Wharton School is top notch.

Two points:

1. Lists like this usually go by last school attended, even though most people with a MS from School B and an undergrad from School A will tell you "I went to School A". At least a good chunk of, if not most of, those Ivy league alumni only got a MBA there.

2. Half life of a public company CEO is much shorter than most people think it is, on the order of 4 years. This list will see a lot of turnover in 4 years.

Our NIL should be higher considering that. Too many nerds at UF now not as interested in supporting football.

Mike Rowe is probably not talking about the Ivy League and Stanford students whose business plans catch fire and they get stuffed full of VC dollars to the extent that they drop out of their elite Computer Science department.

Think Mark Zuckerberg rather than Joe the Plumber.
