LSU is going to be a playoff team in 2026

I want to agree, but the shambles BK left this place in is daunting. I think LK makes LSU a frequent playoff team, but idk if it happens in year 1.

One thing is for sure....
LK and LSU are occupying a lot of space in ya'lls brains.

Don’t totally disagree. Lane just has to get out of his own way sometimes.
He did frick up the 2024 Ole Miss team though. There was zero excuse for that team to not easily be in the playoff. They were way more talented than this year’s team

LSU has 4 guaranteed losses on their schedule

There's some holes on the offensive line
Posted on 1/12/26 at 12:49 pm to theCAW
Offensive line looks totally rebuilt. New quarterback. New coach
Making the playoffs in year one would exceed reasonable expectations. By year two there should be a better opportunity
And holy shite does the portal movements of players destroy continuity. Makes you wonder if recruiting 3 stars with potential from high school doesn't have some merit (theoretically redshirting them to play in year two or three). Paying some 5 star out of high school a big paycheck and then watching him transfer before becoming a sophomore isn't worth much

I honestly wonder how much money has been spent on high school kids that barely played before leaving. You have to think the market/model is going to flip big time in favor of paying portal guys a lot and high school kids very little. Like what leverage will high school seniors have to demand more until we're in a situation where kids are locked in for more than one year at a time

Most LSU fans wanted Florida as a permanent instead of Arky

That's part of the problem with betting on "year two or year three". Can have a rebuilt oline that begins to gel and you think your offense will be unstoppable next year, just for 4 of them to realize they can make more by transferring and your stuck rebuilding the O-Line again.
Portal givith, and portal taketh away.

Let’s see… LSU has beaten Florida 6 out of the last 7 games; and 12 out of the last 16 games. I don’t think many LSU fans have whined that much about playing Florida since 2010.

I don’t Leavitt is the great player you guys are making him out to be. Above average.
I’m just glad you didn’t get the Washington kid. That guy is elite.
