I'd say they have one of the only legit cases for it.

2001 Miami would have matched up perfectly with 2019 LSU.

They actually remind me of 2019 lsu when we kicked the shite out of OU and Georgia in the playoffs.

We beat Georgia in the SECCG...not the playoff.

Early in the year? Maybe. Late 2019 LSU would beat them and pick the score

Is everyone just forgetting how they needed a miracle TD catch to beat a miserable Penn St. team?

I keep saying.

LSU in the playoff was not the same team that started the year.

100%
When that team was in playoffs it was different team (and healthy defense). They could pick the play, score, anything. No one could stop Burrow to Chase or Jeff. They were synced

And the only reason Clemson even had a pulse In the 1st quarter is they were stealing signals.

I have a different take.

Talent is dispersed more evenly and not concentrated in a relatively small cluster of teams. Today’s teams would be hard pressed to match the talent levels of teams pre NIL.

2019 LSU or 2020 Bama would beat this IU squad.

Just curious, how can you say that definitively? You can’t really compare teams that can never play each other so no one knows what the outcome would be. You can say one is better but how do you really know for sure? All I can say is I have enjoyed watching both.
