We could use a better defensive coordinator.

He’s defenses come with a really high learning curve, I think it’d fail miserably in today’s portal culture, with the high staff and roster turnover.

I was just thinking the other day...why cant that early 00s USC offense be run nowadays. IIRC the ran a lot of single back under center very balanced run/pass with spread concepts. It seems that teams have abandoned under center run attacks.

Pete knows what he's doing. Sign a three year deal, work one year, get fired with a payout.

Smart.

I've been a Raiders fan my entire life, and that was the worst Raiders team I have ever witnessed. Ever. Pete has clearly lost his ability to coach winning football.

Hurting his legacy at this point. As much as Carroll to ATL would be cool, I think it’s time. A coaching GOAT no doubt, but the game has passed him by.

Peter Carroll will be an analyst at LSU, just like Monnte.

It's coming back in the pros. I'm seeing a little bit of it in college which I'm happy about.

These old fossils need to hang it up and enjoy their retirement years in wealth, health and sanity.

He saw Russell Wilson playing himself out of the HOF instead of retiring and said "hold my beer"

Why would you fire him in year one? He knows what he is doing. First overall draft pick is usually a strategy

Probably because they don't want to admit it is an issue higher up at GM, Pres., Davis level. There is not a coach in the NFL right now that could have won more than 4-5 games at best with that team.

Because 90% of today's OCs are idiots.

From my experience in several different programs, most coaches...even ones we consider to be smart, are not that intelligent.

I think this is why football is such a copycat sport
