They went out used that money and bought really good football players and hired a really good head coach that has gotten the most out of them. This OMG Indiana used to suck now goat wow phenomenon was needed for a while but it’s not this would have ever happened in the days of just recruiting players without portals or NIL. that would have been more amazing. It’s not a knock at all every school has the same thing but they just knocked every decision out of the ball park. Those WRs for IU are damn studs and those lineman. I mean ole miss winning a natty is pretty damn shocking too if it happened

Agree. If your team isn’t from a wealthy state (like Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Oregon) your football program is doomed and will never make the Semi-Finals

SEC fans are shocked that other schools can also be good once paying players became completely legal and above board and the SEC did not have their past advantage.

This is a very interesting sentence, but I'm going to have to study it a little more and get back to you.

I'm just over here trying to figure out why an Alabama fan would make their username a Kentucky player.

Can you be honest at this point? Did you pass the 4th grade?

This take has staying power because it gives northerners a sense of moral superiority over southerners which is like sustenance to them. It can’t be that Saban or Urban Meyer or Les Miles were just good coaches that were able to stack talent and keep it close to home.
Nah they were all cheating while the rest of the country was squeaky clean.
Low IQ take.

So only the SEC paid players? Everyone did. Right SMU?

Southerners looked the other way -- and even ate their own for being a rat, see Phil Fulmer -- in order to gain football success so they could say exact same thing to the north, who they resent for obvious reasons.
