Why does TAMU have a weird obsession with Texas Tech?

Obviously Tech has a better athletic program, but why the silly names?

Texas does too. All 3 schools have their own cultness. But tech is the easiest to deal with of the 3. If Austin wasn't so fricking over the top liberal it would help their cause.

It’s almost like they’re all in the same state

It's very simple, both schools are full of people that are butthurt they couldn't get admitted to the flagship University so naturally they try to flex on each other.

This one ain’t really on the Aggies.. Go to a game in Lubbock sometime.

they hate each other because they are basically the same program

Easy. Aggy sees Tech as Texas sees aggy.

who can be more homo than the other...that is the question.
The homo between them on this site is crazy.

We were in two conferences with them and have a fairly long history in all sports. Thats like asking why Auburn has a rivalry with any school besides Alabama. I know its hard for you Auburn clowns, but try to think before you post.

The kids from Lubbock have always been obsessed with Aggy. We've always found it a bit strange.

Had no clue they were Sessed with Red Raiders.

But t.u. thinks of Aggy as a clear second rival, behind Okle.
Aggy seldom thinks of Tceh at all.

Tech didn't really even exist until 1923. And they weren't admitted into the SWC until 1960. They were more tied to UTEP, the New Mexico and Arizona schools as they were in their conference.
That gave Tech a good chance to develop a pretty hefty little brother syndrome to both Texas and A&M.
And although it has changed through the decades with the other schools getting more competitive and forcing metro are kids to attend Tech. Tech always saw themselves as repping West Texas and the Panhandle... which they kind of saw as kind of their own state. Because that part of Texas really is different than east and central Texas.

“Obviously”. I don’t think you have a grasp of what this word means.

Pot meet kettle. LSU tards start more threads about A&M than just about any other program on this site.
You included.
Happy New Year.

Don't forget the PUF money that both tu and A&M blocked them.
I'm not sure where it stands today as I have been out of state for many years. But that political fight was nonsense and both A&M and tu hoarded that cash for themselves. Given its purpose, those funds should have supported many more institutions than just the Ags and Sips.
