Not counting the Bama Oklahoma game as they played each other. I've been saying this for a minute now and got down voted each time but the SEC is nowhere as good as it used to be, NIL has changed the game.
Bama can win the natty but Georgia is still the conferences best shot to snap it's longest title drought since 2015

Ole Miss is the class of the SEC. You’re welcome.

Ole Miss can't even win the right to play in Atlanta

Yet we’ve ended up at the same place as UGA this weekend.
See you in NOLA, bitch.

We have an advantage at every position...you lost your coach and you have other coaches in their way out.
You may win....but acting cocky is funny af

longest title drought
2 years is a drought?
The SEC put up 4 in a row (19, 20, 21, 22) and then doesn't win it twice and all the sudden the sky is falling?
I think the gap has closed but you're making it sound like ikt's been decades.

The Big-10 is about to go 7-0 and very likely to have 2 teams playing in the natty, making it 3 in a row for them.
There’s no real good explanation for this. Even with NIL the complete flipping of the script by the Big-10 is remarkable.

Maybe, maybe not but with opt outs for the non playoff bowls it’s impossible to gauge any teams post season.

If our game vs Michigan were regular season I'd pick us to win hands down, but with opt outs (we have a lot more) this game tomorrow is a crap shoot.

With the coaching carousel happening pre-playoff, often hitting playoff teams the hardest, its pretty rough to gauge a playoff team by their post season either.

Don’t worry guys, Daddy State coming soon with the mayo championship and to restore honor and dignity back to the SEC

Heck yeah, mayo + Cheeze-Its, a match made in heaven!

I guess it just doesn't mean as much

The bowl season doesn't really tell us anything, though. Non-playoff bowls are now being played by mid-tier teams (mostly) who have nothing to play for, unless you're part of a non-SEC team playing an SEC team that wants to prove that they are just as good. SEC teams don't have much motivation. Plus, with so many players opting out, it's not really the same team that played during the regular season.

The Big 10 is certainly better than they used to be, but I'd feel pretty confident that LSU/Tenn/Mizzou could have won a bowl game vs CMU or New Meixco.
Bowl records never mattered, but it's even worse now because of the lopsided matchups and opt-outs. The B10 played 4 games vs G4 teams so far.
Even the Alamo Bowl is the #4 B10 team vs the #9 B12 team.

Only SEC teams have opt outs?

Tenn lost basically a home game to Illinois. There is still hope that Alabama restores some conference pride by beating Indiana. But also some risk that Indiana really takes them down.

Im debating about throwing $20 on Michigan and cashing out on it if they take the lead first.

Stankey has changed the game by locking the SEC into a very inferior TV contract.
B1G schools are getting a lot more money. It takes a lot of money to buy players.
I was called out on this forum a long time ago when I said this was going to happen. Welcome to Stankey's SEC.
