I was gonna make a threaded about how stupid the pop tart bowl was, then I realized LSU couldn't even make that stupid bowl. I decided not to make the thread this time.

I read about the bowl organizers' approach to the game. And their whole idea of the game is basically "look, were never going to be the Rose, Orange, or Cotton Bowls. But we are going to be a lot of fun, to watch to attend, and to participate in as a team." (Paraphrasing as best as I can recall)
That approach shows, and it's my favorite bowl to watch every year.

That was the gayest thing I've seen all week and I watched Stranger Things.
Otherwise it was a well played bowl game by both teams.

Agreed. Plus it's a good game. Those were real teams that both wanted it.

The Pop Tarts bowl is everything that is right with college football.
I grew up on them, it would now make me want to vomit, yet somehow they did their job of making me want one.

My favorite "worthless bowl" tradition was that Mayonnaise Bowl where they dumped mayonnaise on the winning coach.
As if getting Gatorade dumped all over you wasn't bad enough.

It’s the only bowl game name that actually crosses my mind outside the playoffs. I was hoping somehow LSU would get in there this year, but we failed.
