Is lane kiffin a genius?

A lot of people talk about him being “weird” and socially awkward. A lot of genius level is people have those tendencies: look at Elon musk etc
But can’t deny offensively lane is a genius. Lots of people have mentioned how Saban has advocated for lane but sources also say urban Meyer is a huge lane kiffin fan an marvels at how he can dissect a defense and call offensive plays that attack the weak points of those defenses at a genius level.

I think genius is a bit much when talking about sports. It’s football. 11 on 11. Not rocket surgery.

Saban pushed Lane to LSU to be sure whoever replaces Deboer doesn’t come close to challenging Saban’s legacy at Bama.

Both Lane and Elon play into the autistic annoying as shite stuff because they found it gets them attention. It's largely fake and it doesn't have a correlation to anything they may be good at.

He is very talented at what he does as is Musk. Look to admire a "genius" in their particular field of genius. It doesn't mean they have anything to teach us about being a better human being.

Football is a lot like chess, and most folks acknowledge that the top chess players are on the spectrum.
I'd like to see the Madden developers get with Dave Aranda and Lane Kiffin and do a series of livestream contests. Set the player attributes to generic good, so it's purely a matchup of schemes and plays without too much random AI interference (fumbles, drops, missed tackles etc). Have the developers involved so they can quickly add in the newly devised plays and formations each would come up with after about the 3rd game.

One thing I’m going to miss about him being here is during the game when we were on offense, you would hear him whistle to our QB to check out of the playcall. If you heard the whistle then more times than not, we were about to torch a defense

Ehhh that statement is debatable.
You can be a genius at different types of things in life outside of being an astrophysicist.
What Lane does isn’t easy for just anyone and some coaches are genius level at their craft.
I’m not sure Lane is one yet, but with the talent LSU has that can compete against anyone, we will soon find out if he is.
