I heard yesterday on from one of the talking heads that Cuevas is done for year

Has anyone heard a status update on Jam?

Brailsford?

Any others?

We’ll find out tonight when the first availability report is released (unless CodeName pops in sooner).

Words floating around don’t sound great.

Even if Jam is available do you really want him cutting on a bad ankle?

Or Brailsford trying to pull block against UGA? He was literally hopping around on one foot against Auburn.

Even if they’re approved to play they’re best served resting and getting healthy unless they’re close to 100%.

Our backup center played a hell of a game.

I’d prefer not to play hobbled players. Parker is a 1st rounder but not on 1 leg.

Jam isn’t going to be ready.

UGA has a bunch of dudes out as well.

Truthfully I thought Geno played well at center the other night. Also, while he lacks the ability to get out in space as well as Brailsford, he is much bigger and more physical and might well hold up better at the point against UGA's big nose guards. It might actually help our run game.

It noticeably did against a good Auburn DL.

Agree completely.

*IF* he gets to where he’s supposed to be from a quickness standpoint we are probably better off in the run game, but that’s certainly not always the case.

Poor Brailsford was a warrior Saturday even going out there, but he was so banged up and unable to leverage with that ankle that functionally he was just trying to throw his body in front of people like a human blocking sled and hoping for the best.

You can’t expect that to work with film for Kirby to see what the deal is because he’ll start sending people up the A gap like he’s been watching Kane Wommack tape from last year and it’ll blow up anything we try to do when we can’t block it.

I was about to say, they have a lot of injuries as well. No one wants to discuss that for some reason.

Let's play all backups in the game and see how the committee handles it.

I felt like the offensive line played better Saturday when VanDeMark played center. I’ve been harsh on him all year but he played well. Hopefully he keeps it up if he continues to sub for Brailsford.

The passing game was worse though which *MAY* have been partially because of poor communication up front.

The best part about Geno at Center is it means we can’t put him in at Guard

I'm far from an expert on offensive line blocking, but did the young tight ends help with the improved run game also? It was clear that the moment was too big for them in the passing game, but were they part of the improvement in the run game?

I just want to see little quicker throws and less long developing plays.

If we can run the ball on them and sustain drives at least 3 times ... It'll help us long way.

I think the problem is that teams at this point are scheming to take away the quick throws because of our inability to make them pay over the top. They are playing the odds.

We ran a lot of two TE sets instead of our normal 1, but they underwhelmed as a whole.

You might be right. They know we can't connect on deep throws. There will be plenty of opportunities for that. We just have to hit it.
