Everywhere Lane Kiffin goes people end up hating him.
Raiders: Al Davis hated and fired him
Tennessee: Kiffin leaves in Middle of the night
USC: Fired on the tarmac
Bama: Saban fired him before natty
If he stays at Ole Miss this will be another conversation in two years. If he goes to LSU or Florida this will happen when Bama or Texas come open. If he goes to Bama or Texas this will happen when an NFL team comes calling. How many times does someone have to show their true colors for people to realize what they are. Kiffin has no morals and any team that has him is just on borrowed time that historically hasn't translated to much.

He’s going to stir up all this drama, stay at Ole Miss then go 7-5 next year.

Funny, because most of the SEC schools are begging Kiffin to come save their football programs, and 3/4 of you on the Rant are clamoring for him to abandon Ole Miss and take them their team to the Championship

Lane must grew up without a father in his life.

“Leaves”, not “goes”. Just my humble opinion.
EDIT: Upon further thought, it could be both.

This circus is part of the reason I didn't want him at Auburn. Don't get me wrong, I'd trade the last few years for the circus, but, Auburn would have been dealing with this shite, every hiring cycle, all the way up to $20 million a year

I would never want a coach that would abandon a playoff team. I wish he would just go. Rip the bandaid off. We will be fine.

The point is that fans of programs that have had him end up resenting him

take them their team to the Championship
Something he has never done in almost a decade being a HC at the power 5 level

Everyone at Ole Miss loves him.
He's making a butt load of money.
He has his team squarely in the playoff picture.
If I'm Lane, I've found my "forever home" right there at Ole Miss.
Not really an Ole Miss fan, but what's not to like?

I take it you never heard of Monte Kiffin.

If he ends up at LSU or Florida, I think the cycle finally ends when he gets fired in 3 or 4 years.
He'll get kicked back down to G5 and won't get another chance to piss off another P4 program after that.

Chasing Kiffin is a sign of desperation. Essentially, a team (Fla, LSU, horn) are saying "we'll live with the shenanigan's for a few years before it all implodes".

Is that really the entire context there... Some coaches just cannot/will not handle a playoff run with one foot out the door and Saban knew Kiffin was checked out. Hell i wish Saban had done the same with Locksley before the 2018 title game.

Monte Kiffin, Lane's father, was the defensive coordinator at Tennessee when Lane was there. Some say that was one of the main reasons he was hired, to get Monte as the DC.
When Lane went sneaking out in the middle of the night. Only one man on the whole staff had the integrity to hang around, do interviews, answer any question thrown at him. Monte Kiffin. Not sure what happened to his son.
How can you claim to be a Vol fan and not know about Lane's father?

I’m pretty damn certain the poster was being extremely sarcastic about growing up without a father Shocking so many took the bait. Kane would be proud of this troll baiting.

Of course, not. It's not like Kiffin was sabotaging Alabama's playoff run. Kiffin was hired at FAU 3 weeks before Alabama's first playoff game, that year, and was having to recruit a staff and players and run a football program while still managing the coaching and OC duties at Alabama. It was a distraction, but an understandable one. At that point, his primary obligation was, then, to FAU. Allowing him to be OC at Alabama throughout the postseason was a courtesy from FAU, but he was still expected to be working for FAU. He had too many irons in the fire. Again, understandable. Saban decided it was too much of a distraction and that Sark could just as easily call the Championship Game. He was wrong.
Saban and Kiffin still have a good relationship.
