Ole Miss fans, do you even want Lane to stay at this point?

What a circus. It’s not worth all of this in my opinion.

Yesterday, you said this didn't involve an MSU fan. I say today it doesn't involve a UGAalum with honors. I'll send you the lunch money that the State guy stole from you. How much and a Venmo account? We can settle this right now.

If he signs his extension before the Egg Bowl, yeah. If not I’ll be indifferent to it

Yes. We would be stupid not to want that.

Yes, but there's also gotta be an understanding where we don't have to go through this nonsense every couple of years. I can't imagine this helps recruiting when kids are getting offers to attend Ole Miss, but would have no clue who the HC might end up being.

I'm emotionally pissed he is essentially lying on social media and thinking the average fan won't know it. But the way he has handled it pisses me off.

We all knew he was going to look around but instead of just quietly doing that he has to tweet all kinds of shite while sending his family to scout out other opportunities.

It isn't he is leaving that is aggravating, it is the immaturity and lack of self awareness as he is looking that pisses me off.

If he signed right now I would be pumped about it. But if he leaves, I feel confident that our athletic department is as good of a functioning machine as anyone in the country and our next coach should be set up for success and playoff runs once every 3 years or so.

Hell yes. This was supposed to be more of a rebuilding year after losing Dart and all of our top playmakers. He has done an amazing job having the Rebs ready to play this year.

Half of the SEC is openly begging for Lane to save them.

Good luck with that.

hahaha he's the only coach in my lifetime who has brought even a modicum of respect to that perennial cellar dweller.

Once he's gone they'll go back to that tout de suite

Florida has been good at football for what, 20 years of their existence? 1990-2010 or so? With 2 of the best coaches of all time? I mean.

If Lane leaves Ole Miss and they pick up Jon Sumrall, then everybody is fricked. Sumrall could win a Natty at Ole Miss. He is doing better than expected with what he is working with at Tulane.

A lot of coaches could. People aren’t grasping the leadership, fanbase buy-in, and talent choosing to play in Oxford right now.

Houston fricking Nutt beat your national championship team while at Ole Miss. And Florida hasn’t won shite in 15 years.
Most delusional bunch of fagggots in the SEC. You somehow make LSU fans seem down to earth. You will hire a random weirdo for the 5th time in 15 years because your program is a joke in the modern era.

I remember saying/thinking this after Petrino.

I remember MSU saying similar things when Mullen left.

Vanderbilt after Franklin.

Fact is, who you get next is all that matters (if Kiffin leaves, which I say he won't). And it's a crapshoot. EVERY. TIME.

I’m over it. I don’t really care. But I am not as vested in football as others might be.
