Does Sark bench his QB 1 before season end?

I certainly hope not because teams tend to take on the persona of their QB leadership and longhorns look soft.
Lil' Arch is from a good family and I have no doubts he is a fine young man, but not everybody has the toughness to be a good football player.
Lil' Arch appears to be very soft, seems more interested in making sure his hair is nice and fluffy on the sideline than trying to motivate his team to play hard.
Expect Sark has somebody else taking snaps next season or he may go down with the ship.

He’s a tough player. Has one of the worst OLs I’ve seen.

I respect his grit and lack of quit. Can’t knock that.

He's much better now than he was at the start of the season. He's not getting benched.

The O-Line looked solid last night. Arch also looked pretty good. The health of our RB room makes us one dimensional late in games.

Arch is a tough player who fights his arse off. His coach is who failed him.
For his sake, I hope he transfers into a program that can develop him into the best quarterback that he could be. it’s not going to happen here

Arch isn't the problem Sark is.
Remember Sark took Ewers from top 1 recruit to 7th round pick. The common denominator is Sark.

Casual take. Quinn dropped because the dude hasn’t stayed healthy one full season since he was 15. He’s also got some arthritis in the AC joint from the Dallas Turner pile driver.

Truer words have never been spoken.
Arch is a class act that works his arse off and never quits.
Sark is an arrogant prick who thinks he’s smarter than everyone else. Also has no clue how to manage a program like texas. He just wants to design plays and hope his position coaches are taking care of all the little details that he doesn’t have time for, evidently.

Do you even watch Texas football?
We've been clamoring for the backup QB for 2 straight years like our aggy lives depended on it. Was the problem all the A&M QBs over the years in the SWC/B12 or was it RC's Gulf Coast offense and Franchione dumpster fire?
Use objective eyes the problem is Sark and his NFL system which is far too complex for the college game which yes is the polar opposite of RC's GCO but it being wrong tool wrong task is.

Ty Simpson told the media that he got tips from Arch Manning on facing Oklahoma, and that the two discus SEC opponents weekly: “Arch has got a loud mouth, huh? Nah that’s my guy. We talk weekly. He’s a really good friend of mine. The Red River Rivalry- it was a good game- so I asked him a couple questions and he asked me a couple questions about Vanderbilt and Georgia. ‘Hey what did you see? What did they do here?’ And just about plays and fronts in general.”

Sure didn't work for Ty ... maybe he should reconsider

He is not a Heisman QB, but seems like a tough kid and serious competitor. Had he not been over-hyped, I suspect a lot of people would like him a lot more. I see a lot of unwarranted schadenfreude re Arch's struggles, frankly.

27/43 for 251 with I’m guessing over 5 drops hitting the receivers square in the hands. Arch wasn’t the problem.

Why worry over Texas?

Arch has the ability to be a decent QB but he is far from the generational talent he was hyped up to be, Sark or not.

Both things can be true:
Quinn being hurt hampered him ever living up to his hype. That’s not entirely on Sarkisian and Milwee.
At the same time, Sark and his staff aren’t doing a good job developing positions as they should be. A lot of their success has relied on being able to recruit players so talented they can lean on natural ability (Kelvin Banks, Xavier Worthy, AD Mitchell, etc) to beat teams they’re supposed to while falling short to teams with comparable personnel

Arch is not your problem.
No running game is TX biggest issue and it’s putting too much pressure on a young QB to do it all.
And when the ball is delivered it has to caught. Those drops last night were a killer.

Who is the OC?
I'm too lazy to look it up
Who ever is calling the plays and the scene needs to be fired
