How are y'all watching your games? I'm going the Reddit route.

Might as well just get cable at that point.

Thousand bucks a year to watch television.

For me, it's the ease of access streaming provides. I can bring it up on my phone or on any tv with a Roku stick and not need a box. That's why I originally broke with cable, not necessarily the cost.

how long does the ABC/ESPN and SEC contract last?

I don't have anything. I used to have Hulu and they kept raising the price to include espn. Now my friends come over and sign in through their login's. I did wonder as the cost keeps rising, what the difference is now between what was once called cutting the cord, and cable now. I thought these services were like $20 a month, no?

When I first switched to YouTube TV, it was $34 a month but when everybody cut the cord it slowly went up over the last eight years

Disney/ESPN has been the common denominator in all these disputes from cable-then-directv-then-streaming.
If these streamers bow down, their fees will go up to $125/mo.
At some point, folks will get tired of paying for woke ads to pepper their everyday lives.

Yep, I reached that point. It helps when your football team sucks, so you don't care if you watch or not.
I think the tv money is the main culprit for college athletics being the shite show it currently is.

I watch whatever is on the antenna and then go about my day.

I have been using Direct TV for years. Never missed a game. Never had an outage. Probably not the cheapest but I want what I want. Paying a little extra is worth it.

Live sports are by far the most valuable entity so they actually have leverage that other programming does not.

It used to be an all week thing.
Peak college football was when I was tuning into a CUSA game on Thursday, then a game on Friday.
Woke up at 9 to catch college Gameday.
Ate some bbq. Watched the sec game at noon. Then the 330 game. Then the Ron Franklin/mike gottfried special at night.

I got the Disney+ bundle for $30.00 and just cancelled it. I'll have all the games through early December, hopefully all this gets sorted out before then.

I just got a $20 credit from You Tube TV. More than offsets my ESPN package I already had. A bit of a pain in the arse to watch it on ESPN app and still don't have the ABC local affiliate. But, I can get by but wife watched ABC in the morning but not really a communist.

You can split the cost of YTTV with people outside your house. Cant do that with cable.
