just how ridiculously pretty Ohio State sits with their current/future coaching options.

They currently have the top coach in the country.
Defending champs, undefeated, ranked #1.

If Day left for NFL their options would be the following...
1. Marcus Freeman who is from Ohio and played for Ohio State.
2. Promote Brian Hartline who is from Oho and played for Ohio State.
3. Urban Meyer - The old administration that pushed Urban out are gone.

What a ridiculous embarrassment of riches.
And in the NIL era they have some of the deepest pockets in CFB, which would attract anyone else they desired.

If there is a team positioned to go on a historic run it is Ohio State.

Florida isn’t struggling. They are all in on Kiffin and if that doesn’t work out, they already have a replacement ready to step in (Lincoln Riley supposedly)

Ohio State will always have an asterisk because they don't play in a real football league.
Tallest midget.

How are they struggling? They are all going to hire somebody who currently has a job. They can't just take a coach away from another school mid season.

Those crazy Ohio St fans will run Day and all of the coaching staff off if they were to slip up and lose two games in a row.

Fan base is as fickle as any on college football.

If Day loses to Mich this year, the game is at Mich, they will be most unhappy and some will want him gone then.

In what way are they struggling? Firing a coach in the middle of the season usually means that you have to wait until the end of the season to name a new one. What coach worth a damn would announce mid season that he is leaving his current team?

It’s crazy to me that some people believe coaches just willingly jump jobs in the middle of the season
I see LSU “fans” on social media with comments like “when are they hiring a coach what’s taking so long” etc

Incredibly spoiled. They've had a CFB HOF head coach since the 1940s.

Pretty sure that Kirby Smart is the top CFB coach at this time, but nice try!

Smart - 2 CFP titles
Sweeney - 2 titles
Day - 1 title

No one is struggling to hire a coach. Hires are done at the end of the season. Candidates are all busy coaching their current team.

The reason schools fire a coach early instead of letting him finish up, is so they can have an extensive search process. Quicker hires are made when openings begin after the season
