FOGs have no idea what you're talking about.
But true Bama fans can see that Oats is fast becoming the top coach in all of college basketball

I don’t see any reason why Oats or DeBoer would leave for any other job, but maybe that’s just me. Oats is already the GOAT basketball coach at Alabama and he hasn’t even been here but what….7 years?

DeBoer is at the pinnacle of football at Alabama and leaving to go anywhere else would either be a money grab or a downgrade. We’re pretty much set forreal.

I love Nate Oats so fricking much. I would fight any person Nate Oats wanted me to. Nate Oats for Congress, Senate, President, King, God, and town treasurer.

You can’t do anything if they want to scratch the NFL/NBA itch, but in terms of college jobs yeah, I think Bama is in a very good place to keep them.

We might have the best backcourt in the country. And they're all over 6'3" except for Holloway.

Thankfully this doesn't seem to be near as much of a thing as the NFL itch, especially now and especially for guys who've had no NBA history

Oats has said that he is very comfortable. Prefers the college style.

If he went NBA they’d be my fav team. Oats is the best

He made the point last year when he was on The Field of 68 the night we beat UK in Rupp that NBA travel and college travel is so different. How essentially they were gone 24 hours for that game but in the NBA you literally play more games on the road than you play total in college and being home as much as possible with his kids is extremely important to him.

Oats post game radio comments yesterday:

"We've got plenty of stuff to get better at. Purdue embarrassed us last year at their place so we have to answer the bell better at our place " - That's being overly accountable, didn't think Purdue embarrassed us, but im glad he does !

"You don't come to Alabama to play a soft schedule. The fans expect us to play the best schedule in the country and we plan to do that". Never thought I would see the basketball coach be arguably the most powerful figure at Alabama, but he is damn close.

Lastly, my apologies to Bol Bowen. I said last week that his instincts looked really poor and he was getting caught watching a lot defensively. He still leaves a lot to be desired in direct guarding of the ball, but his effort was unreal yesterday compared to what I had seen of him in the first 3 games (exhibitions included). Beyond his scoring, he was great in help defense and rebounding. I will gladly eat the crow because him and Sherrell really are the keys to our season. The other pieces are more than there. If we can get that from him or Bristow consistently, im a lot less concerned about our lack of a dominant big.

Now that is the perfect username for you. Thinking Philon is too short to play guard at 6'4" hilarious. He keeps playing like the last 2 games, and he's gonna work his way into a lottery pick.

Not really a basketball dude because slow and can’t jump, but Oats is a savage coach. RTR
