Who is stupid enough to want to coach at Auburn?

After the way they treated Malzahn and Harsin (Freeze deserved it), what decent coach would risk the future of his family and his reputation coaching at Auburn?

1. Any coach at a non P4 school
2. Many of the coaches at smaller P4 schools

Auburn will never reach their potential until they have a Saban type come in and tell the boosters to frick off.

They will get another run of the mill coach but more importantly, he won’t be as good a recruiter as Freeze. Granted, that didn’t (yet) help Freeze win, but with the right coaches it could have.

Is there an Auburn Alum out there who is the national best DC that’s about to take the job at another school? Because that’s why we pulled the trigger on a coach who was nearing the end of his career and while good would clearly never get us there.

Auburn has fired every coach since Shug. (Except Dye who was forced to retire due to infractions).

I’ll do it. I’m pretty certain I know where Auburn is….i know there is something about toilet paper, dead trees and a drug store. I also know there’s something about a bird before home games. Hell, I’m a regular Auburn historian and I’ll do it for a mill a year with no buyout….how could I do worse than Freeze or Hardin????

This is a real thing at all programs but seems to be really bad at Auburn. Coupled with the insane in state competition with what is arguably the best program in CFB history and it’s a perfect storm of pressure….
