If Texas beats Vandy, would there be any reason for Notre Dame to be ranked ahead of them?

This would prove the bias of the polls

You mean other than Notre Dame being better?

I hear what you're saying but we all know not all wins (and losses) are not the same.

This thread is so dumb.

ND lost close games to Miami on the road and A&M, has a 10 point win over a ranked team, and has generally looked very good, with commanding wins in all their wins.

Texas lost a somewhat close game to Ohio State, a not close game to a sub ,500 UF team, and has looked like dog shite, barely scratching out wins in multiple of their other games, including the two worst teams in the SEC.

Anyone who ranked Texas over ND would be a dipshit.

I assume you are asking why a 2 loss ND team would be ranked above a 1 loss Vandy.

Depends on whether they thought ND would lose to Florida.

If texas wins this game they will have a win over 2 top 10 teams and a losses to the #1 team and a tough Florida team away.

ND has 1 top 25 win

I would rank Texas over ND simply because I detest Notre Dame ever so slightly more than Texas. (But not by very much)

Hang on

Utrans gets destroyed by Florida and it’s a loss to a tough team now

A week later Aggie destroyed Florida and Alabama fans say it’s a complete garbage win against a dumpster fire

tu also wants a great deal of credit for OT wins against 2 teams with a combined 0 conference wins.

One incontrovertible fact... Notre Dame does not deserve to be ranked where they are. Maybe 20th at best....

Although Florida has been a disappointment, they had a bye week, as did Kentucky, before playing Texas. So there's that.

Utrans has to be ranked regardless of how bad they look for 2 reasons:

The media has to try and save face for the preseason hype.

Everyone is trying to keep them relevant for TV ratings since they joined the SEC.

The plan last year worked. They had a really good team last year with a powder puff schedule and this year, with the same schedule and having to travel, are teetering on the edge of falling apart. It's very enjoyable to watch!

By that logic, why wouldn't Virginia be ranked over Alabama right now?

They are 7-1 and beat Florida State. Is that poll bias?
