Kelly is getting canned for maybe having a 7 win season after 10 wins, 10 wins and 9 wins.

And we are wanting to hold onto Freeze and would CELEBRATE 6 wins.

Our standards are so low.

Right now I think he still gets replaced unless they can score TDs. If it's Durkins defense that saves us in EVERY game then what is the point? Might as well move on. We'll see......

He could win every remaining game and I’d be in favor of shitcanning him.

I blame Allen Greene and Harsin for a lot of that. There was no plan in place to replace Gus, and we hired someone who didn’t like recruiting and actively burned bridges at Auburn. Just to get back into competition, we had to completely reload the roster. Doesn’t excuse Freeze, because at this point, we should be seeing improvements in the W/L column with increased talent. That isn’t apparent yet, and in fact, it seems like we’re wasting the talent we do have. The decline started with Gus, so plenty of share for the blame to go around.

AU has only had 6 SEC titles in 40 yesrs and 3 since i was 4 years old.

Sometimes i wonder where some of yalls elitist attitudes come from.

If you’re still blaming Gus and Harsin you are living in pre-NIL CFB land. Gus offense went cold. Harsin was never really given a chance because the AD went rogue on the hire and the boosters didn’t support him. You can’t win in NIL era without booster support. That is why they tried to fire him year one. They didn’t want him to be successful.

Thamel is reporting that Kelly is fired, we're late to the show again

That’s actually not too shabby.

How many have Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, and Florida each had in the last 40 years? Probably more than 6, but I’m guessing it’s not a boatload more. And nobody else has won any. (Ok, 6 schools haven’t been in the SEC for 40 years, but all except Texas and Oklahoma have been in long enough that there is no excuse not to have won at least 1.)

I don’t know about “elitist” but I certainly think of Auburn as a big time program.

Kelly didn't come to do a rebuild, he said he was coming to win championships because the couldn't at ND. Since he left, ND has been great, LSU has not.

He hasn't been close. Oversold, grossly under-delivered.

Alabama: 12
Florida: 8
Georgia: 5
LSU: 6

That’s why we need to have high standards. Outside of Alabama’s psycho amounts of success, we’re right there with Florida, Georgia, and LSU in terms of SEC competitiveness. It’s our leadership and culture holding us back right now.

I've told yall it's either Freeze goes down with his guys and is gone for he becomes the CEO and lets a new OC overhaul the entire offense. And that's just for now. Any loss could change the dynamics greatly. He does have a couple boosters that have faith in him an it's only saving grace.

You could have given Harsin all the NIL money in the world and it wouldn’t have mattered.

And I'm ready for Freeze to be gone. The win against a hapless Arkansas team doesn't nothing to change the cluster that is the offense.

I'm all for Sumrall at this point. It's a roll of the dice but I think he brings the most upside.

Tried it with Gus. Doesn’t work. And Gus is a much better coach/CEO than Freeze.

Harsin didn't even believe in NIL, so this is a lame attempt at trying to excuse him. He openly looked down upon the players on the team who came from under-privileged backgrounds and wanted to benefit from NIL.

I'm not so sure about that statement. I think Freeze is better at getting talent and I think Freeze is better at hiring coaches. Plus Freeze has been down the losing his "big time" job before so the ball is in his court for now.

LSU opening up also changes things from Auburn's point of view.

You could argue Penn State may or may not be a better job. But we don't fish in the same pond for talent or coaches. UF and AU are basically the same UF has the state school name and easier access to talent but you better put up points there winning and losing only matter if it looks pretty at UF. So AU might be the better job for some candidates.

Only real way to try and compare that ability is to look at their records.

No, there was a plan in place. Was it a good one? Probably not but there was a plan.
