That makes Texases predicament even more comical. The implications of this is the gift that keeps on giving.

Have they developed a back up? At this point he may not last another two weeks.

He was always planning to stay and start 2 or even 3 years.

He knew he needs to develop.

He needs to play better.

It'll be a Carson Beck type deal

well we have dia bell coming in next season if he doesn't flip. Unfortunately, I'm not sure he will ever be better than he is the day he shows up.

That was sarcasm.....I think

He's not coming back unless he starts. Are the horns ready to spend more time on the Arch experiment?

Well I'm not someone who thinks Arch is the problem so I'm not the person to ask.
I think this offense would look bad with any QB. I think the problem is sark, which evidently makes me not a real fan

Watching arch play reminds of an unexperienced madden player. If his last name wasn’t manning, he would not be a qb right now.

He won't finish this season as the starter.

Oh course! How else was he going to become only the second player in history to win the Heisman.

I bet this one sounded great in your head. Too bad you either butchered the delivery, or you’re illiterate.

Under no circumstances could TX ever let him go in the portal. It would be lose/lose. If he goes in the portal and sucks then it shows that TX is terrible at evaluating and hyped him up when he wasn’t good. If he goes somewhere and does awesome then it shows TX couldn’t develop him and was holding him back.

Their only options are to keep him and roll with him next year, or hope he goes pro.

That's the best answer for the other SEC teams as it ensures that the horns will have poor QB play for the next 1 3/4 years.

Arch transfers to Tulane, they hang onto Sumrall for one more year, and they lead the Wave to the playoff in '26 while Texas sits home.

He was the preseason favorite to win the Heisman....and he might still do it. It's still very early. But...are you telling me if he wins the Heisman he was going to return to Texas?

Sorry. But i find that very difficult to believe.

Was there ever in true doubts that he'd be anywhere next year.... other than college?
