Defense elite, QB-OC combo worst in the SEC

Offense - much improved; I like what I see and have been pleasantly surprised

Defense - pass defense looks competitive; run defense, borderline garbage, and a real concern

As usual, it could go either way … we’ll likely win some we shouldn’t, and lose some we have no business losing — such is life as an A&M football fan.

We have Notre Dame and Auburn next on the schedule, so we’ll soon find out a whole lot more

I hate to admit it but Kentucky is dead last in the conference the way things look right now. Cutter is gonna have to come up with some magic for us to salvage this season. Even then, Bush's play calling is frickng horrendous, and the WRs can't get any separation. This feels like it's the end of Stoops.

Defense and offensive line are better than I anticipated. If Simmons can not throw interceptions in the first quarter we will be in the playoff conversation at the end of the year

Defense solid, offense explosive, special teams decent

Will need to see it in week 3 on the road

QB has outperformed expectations in a young season.

Defense stats look good. Not as good on the field.

RBs look very good. WRs too.

Oline has had bouts of awfulness. Stats look ok.

An honest assessment.

All C grades.

Confusing, confounding, contradictory.

State is better. Definitely going to hit the over on 3.5 wins.

The schedule is brutal though.

Missouri and Arkansas are road games and they look good.
We go to Florida - maybe South Florida is good. Who knows.
I don't think we win at Kyle Field.

Then you have Tennessee, Georgia, Texas and Ole Miss coming to Starkville.

Hard to find two wins in the SEC, but doesn't mean this isn't a much better team than we saw last year.

Depth is an issue. We will not see the Dline substituting like I would like.

The D has played very vanilla and the O is very vanilla. I really like the 3 RBs. All 3 offer something a bit different but understand the role well enough to not over specialize.

The WRs are better than the masses believed. The O is moving significantly better than the masses believed. The Vols might be the most underrated team in the country.

Work in progress. As with every team. Trenches are stout. Qb is a huge upgrade. Weapons on offense all over the place. Kicking is a huge issue. Talent in the secondary and LBs. Really excited to see this team grow over the season.

Slightly more optimistic. Will know if they really are putting things together more in the next two games.
