I’ve heard good things about You tube TV

I refuse to chase games to subscription services. I’ll just watch highlights later.

I guess IF you have to watch college football the next decade will fractionate the games over multiple streaming services. Apple, Prime, you tube, espn+, paramount, peacock, and so forth.

Same. I can gear up and head down to most stadia to watch a live game without too much effort. But I've stopped trying to track down which service will show which game or conference.

I'll go see it, or go to a bar, or if it comes to it, follow online or radio, and catch the replay later.

ESPN will begin offering their channels direct to consumer starting on August 21st.

ESPN's direct-to-consumer service, launching on August 21, 2025, will provide fans with access to all of ESPN's linear networks and a wide range of sports content for $29.99 per month.

If you don't want to get tied up with a Sling/Hulu/Youtube subscription, this might be the way to go.

I do the Hulu, Disney, espn+ package. Serves my needs but isn’t much cheaper then standard cable but you do get “premium” stuff with the Disney+ and espn+ with it

YoutubeTV.

You can pause and not pay when it's not football season or basketball season.

That's what I do.

Why not? It seems the package everyone has been asking about for years.

YTTV is great and I've done both Hulu or some variant of Sling Orange and Blue (which is ok) but wanting to see this new avenue? I do commercial less YouTube for general viewing and it covers my interests without subscribing to even more un-watched options.

I did YTTV about 7 years ago and yeah you can cancel whenever you like but next time you want a new subscription your price goes up (that's what I found out the next year). I've been HULU Plus since then no complaints but I do think after this year they're going to officially be under the Disney Plus umbrella.

I currently use Hulu …. Works great. I have used YTTV before too. They both have good DVR functionality, Which we use quite a bit.

And it’s month to month so you can stop anytime. Unlimited DVR too.

I have the basic setup and get all local channels, all ESPN’s, SEC, Big Ten and ACC networks. I get espn+ free through my Amex card so I have more football options than I can possibly watch on Saturdays. I think it’s around $80 or so a month.

Not paying $30 a month for those assholes and their agenda.

Sorry. Good luck with that

Got you loud and clear.

Personal bias is reason enough to pay that other a-hole 50 more

Echoing what others gave said, either YouTubeTV or the Disney/Hulu/ESPN bundle.

If all you really care about is Auburn/SEC then the Disney package should get you most of the way there; however, Auburn/Baylor and Texas/OSU are on Fox.

Also if you are thinking longer term, the Hulu app will go away, I think next year, and get folded into Disney+

Is this different than the ESPN+ bundle you could get? I was disappointed that ESPN+ had such a small selection of the games I wanted to watch at the time.

We just switched over to youtubeTV a few months ago, so haven't had it during football season. It seems like it would work okay. I will miss the skip ahead button that I had with Lumos TV. That 30 second skip was great to skip ahead during DVR'd football games to get to the next play. I don't think YoutubeTV has that quick skip feature. You can skip ahead a few seconds but then it has to reload. Not that fast.

ESPN+ always seemed to work okay.

Just yes, the only reason I had a YT TV subscription was for ESPN + SEC. I don't watch the other channels so having a Just ESPN is excellent (which is where all our games will be unless it's some weird Big 10 matchup that's on Fox). So for $33 I can watch them instead of $80-$100.
