Give an honest opinion of how you think your team will do this regular season

For UF, I think Napier is a little snakebit like Muschamp was. I think our ceiling is 8 wins, and we are gonna probably end up with 6 or 7. I just don't see everyone staying healthy and don't believe in Napier as a gameday coach. I hope I am wrong and going to root my arse off for them until they do something embarrassing. I think Billy has really raised the talent level, and the players are bought in, but I just don't think he has the chops to be a successful head coach in the SEC. I still think 7-5.
Lagway needs to stay healthy, our best WR is already hurt, and I am not sure which defense will show up.

Ceiling is 9-3 with Napier and that's only if Lagway stays healthy.
Floor is honestly 3-9 if he gets hurt.

My emotional investment with Auburn is at an all time low. I love Auburn, but it's Groundhog Day here and I'm just not up for the slog (and I'm getting older).
That said, I think it's about as good a set up as possible to take a big step forward. We've got talent now. Nothing crazy, but I think we can improve marginally in several areas and go from 5-7 to 8-4. We sucked last year, but we had some of the worst statistical luck in CFB too. Very abnormal (for AU) kicking woes, etc. It just *shouldn't* take much to get back to a reasonable place this season.
Now, the flip side of that is that if we're 7-5 or something, it's going to be hard to tell if we're making significant improvement or not. I'm not a big Hugh fan, but I think he should be capable of getting us on steady footing.

I think Texas's defense will be what carries them to the playoffs. A lot of depth on defense, especially with our starting safety Derek Williams Jr. returning from his 2024 season-ending injury. We have Michael Taaffe, who can play nickel effectively as well as safety (he replaced Williams after injury last season as starting safety). Anthony Hill Jr, Malik Muhammad, Jaylon Guilbeau, and Colin Simmons should have a great season, as well as some of the new usual suspects.
The offense will have its woes due to 4 new offensive linemen and potentially not having enough depth at tackle due to injuries, a new QB with the full-time job, and 3 WRs with a high ceiling. If CJ Baxter stays healthy, we are 3 talented RBs deep. Tre Wisner also gained some size from last season after leading the SEC in rushing yards. Arch has an excellent deep ball, so with the run game keeping the safeties honest, it could be an area we can exploit with speed at WR and size at WR + TE.
If the offense can just play smart football and not turn the ball over while winning the turnover differential, we'll go to the playoffs. We have had the same core coaching staff since Sark got to Austin, and I think this will only lead to success this season.

Texas goes 10-2 and makes the playoffs.
I would be surprised if our offense plays sharp right off the bat, but I think they will be playing well by the playoffs.
I am pretty confident in our defense this year… hope I am right…

LSU: 10-2 if we win Week 1

I think LSU goes 10-2 and loses to some combination of Clemson, Alabama, South Carolina and Ole Miss. I think Oklahoma is a tricky end of season game on the road.

I’m going to UF scrimmage on Saturday, looking forward it. I think if UF can run the ball the defense can keep them close…and let Lagway be the difference. Not going to be easy. 8 wins with this schedule would make most fan bases happy.
Son led off last weeks hype video with a kick…
And think LSU gets 9 regular season wins.

In the earlier prediction thread I said 9-3. Now I am leaning towards 10-2.
The cohesion of the coaches and understanding of schemes by players should be much better this season. The defense the second half of last season was head and shoulders better than the first half. I think they will be even better this season. Offense is a question at QB. But the other skill players are back and the offensive line should be good.
Alabama didn’t have to replace 60% of their roster like last year. So there should be an improvement. And they seem to have a chip on their shoulder, something missing the last few seasons.

If LSU beats Clemson and y’all come this way and beat us…10-2 is definitely in sight. If we lose both then you really don’t know.

If our O line stays healthy and our receivers can hold onto balls then 11-1. If the O line falls apart, 9-3.

The Ole Miss season will go with how Austin Simmons goes. If he struggles, we will probably end up with 3 or 4 losses. If he plays up to his potential, the sky is the limit.

Our offensive line and secondary are question marks going into the year. We have a few guys in those position groups that we like, but the units as a whole are unknown. If the OL has issues like it did last year, we're probably an 7-8 win team. If it's improved (this means some of our transfer guys worked out), we would win 10+ and go to the playoff.

A lot of pessimistic Gators on TD, I think we go 8-4/9-3.
Only issues I am worried about are DJs sustained health, safety play, and our WRs experience levels.
I do think our strengths however are key to winning football at any level - LOS + running game.
STRENGTHS
OL
DL
QB (if healthy)
RBs
WEAKNESSES
Safety
WR (inexperienced)
TE (underutilized)
WINS
LIU
USF
Miss State
Kentucky
Tennessee
FSU
LOSSES
Miami or LSU
Texas and/or A&M
UGA or Ole Miss

Honestly if Texas is able to maintain similar numbers on offense from last season but have more success in running between the tackles, and the defense plays up to potential. The upgrades we made at punter and field goal kicker should be enough to get us over the hump.
Barring bad luck injury wise, sky is the limit.

I heard the punter we got from Utah has been kicking lights out in camp.

It would have been nice to have it against Georgia last year. That’s for damn sure.

8-4 would be a disaster 10-2 would be a mild surprise. 9-3 is the most probable outcome with the defense and running game doing the heavy lifting.
