Despite being under the radar by their standards, its put up or your a dumpster fire this year. No excuses for the flarida gators. The ridiculous schedule, white wiscy re treads...you got the almighty Darrell Lawrence Lagway III. Your expected to make the post season.

I think I'll say something sensible, just for a change of pace. Florida is recruiting players despite the wins and losses lately. That keeps hope alive for Napier. If Billy gets this program running after all the losing, he will be the poster child for more time. It takes time to turn some programs back, and patience is seldom a virtue in the SEC.

Poor little Bammer is reduced to trolling the Gators. Maybe you'll be at Vandy this year

Auburn and Freeze are in the exact same boat.

Personal hot take on it is…both are lack luster coaches and should go back to coordinating somewhere else in the next couple of years.

not a hot take at all as it seems like common sense

The one thing i disagree with is about Napier being a coordinator somewhere. He really sucks as a OC. Maybe he should become a WR coach again somewhere or find a high school to coach at.

Dabo fired him as OC and then won titles 2 out of 3 years immediately afterwards.

Billy trying to emulate the Clemson model by recruiting an elite qb and a stout D line, which to his credit he has, but he forgot the other element of Clemson’s success and that was firing Billy Napier as OC and getting a real play caller!

I do wonder about Florida's obsession with the Director's Cup Trophy. It takes a lot of money, facilities, and booster focus to make a football machine and sustain it.

End of year three into year four is where the right staff will show itself in a major rebuild.

Florida seems to be on a good trajectory.

Nape needs to win at least 9and I think he has the roster to do it.

It will be dicey if he comes up short of 8, depending on how Lagway plays.

As long as Napier is calling the plays, Florida's ceiling is random bowl games.

Napier does the CEO coach thing well. If he sticks to that and hires a competent OC, Florida's ceiling is a national title. He is too stubborn and prideful to give up play calling though. He'll eventually get fired.

They won't fire Napier for 8-4 even though they should. It would take 7-5 or worse for Napier to get fired.

If he is competitive in those 4 losses, with that schedule, he should be given another year. The SEC office should send Florida a formal apology for that wicked schedule the last 2 years and the Gator's AD needs to go all B1G with the OOC side of things.
