WCJ was 11/18 from the field, 5/8 from 3pt, and perfect at the FT stripe. He is an incredible basketball player.

He’s gonna fall to late in the first round somehow, end up being a great NBA player, and be one of those guys that you look back on and wonder how they fell out of the lottery.

Defense on him was pretty good. He just made plays.

Clayton is just damned good. But he didn’t beat us. We had two five minute runs where we completely got away from our offensive style, got too fast and sloppy. That beat us

You do.

But this loss is not the worst in the tourney.

Worst losses ranked:
1. Loss in championship game. Heartbreaking.
2. Loss in Elite 8. Heartbreaking to be so close to the Final Four.
3. Loss in Final Four. Big buildup and then falls flat.

How I see it.

so who was injured and couldn't go into the rotation? Bruce was talking about being tired and short handed

UF is just better than us. They proved it twice.

This is right. More depth plus the best player on the court.

Yeah, I don't have the feeling that we lost as the better team but still frustrated because the game was there to be won but we just did every single thing wrong in the second half.

Missed free throws... check
Poor shot selection... check
Got dominated on the glass... check
Turnovers... check check check
Let their one guy go off... check

We didn’t really “let” Clayton go off. He put on a damn good performance against good defense.

I remember the days when we fans hoped we would not have to play on
Thursday in the SEC tournament.
Auburn basketball has come a long way.

The difference in the game was Clayton made his poor shot selection shots, and Pettiford and Kelly missed theirs.

Auburn got out of our offense which we tended to do routinely and took a lot of bad shots with A LOT of time on the shot clock.

This has been the MO of this team all year. There’s times we had fantastic ball movement and patience, but it would just disappear and no one would work to slow the team down and be patient, including the coaches.

The only way we were winning last night was to limit Clayton and we didnt get that accomplished. Tough loss, great season. Nothing to hang your head one single second about.

We were still pretty close. Just needed to make our FT's and for Broome or Pett to make a couple shots. Thats it

Broome was beat up and it worked
