For Ole Miss, we understand where we're at in this cycle...

Like a lot of SEC teams, schedule has been so lame that it is hard to tell. LSU certainly has some talent and a lot of depth though.

Best start since 2005, but probably the easiest schedule since I don’t know when..
We have a pretty good team, but I still think we’ll struggle against really good to elite pitching..
My guess is around 15 wins in conference, on the bubble to host a regional, so a 1 or 2 seed playing at one of the top ranked teams in the supers, if we make it.

I'm very impressed with our ball club so far, but as mentioned we will find out when the rubber hits the road in league play.
The team has shown a lot of tenacity and grit at times when trailing in games. They seem to be having fun and building a nice chemistry early in the season.

Our team is obviously good at 18-1 but our starting pitching has been rough giving up a lot of runs in early innings only to come back will a lot of runs to pull out those games.
If that trend continues in SEC play, we will likely lose too many games.
The good news is our bull-pin has been solid.

We don't look so good.

We're good. Not elite, but good. Whether we can figure out the pitching depth determines whether we go 17-13/16-14 or 15-15/14-16

And we're playing Mizzou this weekend, so still wont have the best gauge after the weekend is over

We don't have a Hagen Smith this year, but overall I think we've got more solid pitching depth. Offense is MUCH improved from last year. So far so good. Much like everyone else, there hasn't been a lot of resistance in the OOC schedule, though we did beat TCU and Michigan.

Vols have been surprisingly better than anyone could have imagined after losing 10 players to the MLB. No one would have been suprised if the Vols struggled after losing the entire starting rotation, along with all starting fielders except 1. This should close the argument on who the best coach is in baseball now.
Vitello didn’t allow the Vols to pull a Mississippi State, Ole Miss and LSU the following year after their title. The Vols seem just as hungry now as they were last year.

Everyone understood going in that this would be a rebuilding year for Mingione. Don't think we get back to a CWS or anything like that, but pitching has showed some promise at times and Cole Hage will be one of the better hitters in the conference. It's a young squad though and will have some growing pains.

SC is competitive, but not SEC-good.
The program must dig its way out of this Kingston-sized crater. But it won't be done all alone this year. Hitting is far too suspect and limited to a handful of players. Team defense looks better than it has in several years, though.

We look pretty good, not great. Hopefully we can keep improving as the season goes along as this is a pretty young team, especially on the mound. Oh and what do you know, we play the last 2 undefeated teams this week both on the road.

I rarely think of Mizzou baseball (much like our admin), so I would be hard-pressed to come up with even one.
