Would be much easier for sure. Wouldn't have to recruit his roster every year.

That would open up a can of worms for that roster.

Arch Manning would be up for grabs, potentially.

He also suggested that the Steelers should trade Mike Tomlin.

See what you mean and agree there likely will be more willing to transition from college to the NFL to not deal with this.

If we are being honest though there likely isn’t an easier place to recruit to than Texas. More money than God and a huge homegrown source of talent

I don't say this to shite on texas. All of our coaches, assistant coaches and coordinators should take the first nfl position available. Atleast you know what you're getting each year. We had a 2 deep wide receiver room 3 weeks ago and they're all in the portal now. Our wr room will return 1 player anyone knows and a bunch of transfers. I wouldn't want to make my living based off that every year

Their endowment alone is worth more than Jerry by a lot.

Yea but Jerry actually owns the money. Not that he has any interest in the university of texas

I think he wants to win at least one natty before he makes the jump, but I think he does go back to the NfL eventually.

Any college coach that gets a shot at a head coaching job in the NFL should immediately take it. The quality of life is way better in the NFL. The college game is a mess. Who in their right mind wants deal with having to recruit their own roster 365 days per year not to mention all the drama with recruiting high school kids?

It would be a terrible idea and a miserable failure. There have been college coaches than him that tried to make the jump and failed.

Texas, from the Board of Regents, to the President, to the AD, to Sark is aligned like never before. Similarly, the NIL machine and monied boosters and alumni have been corralled in a manner that is supportive of the University.

Sark is sitting at the wheel now, and there aren’t many organizations that are situated better than Texas now, college or pro.

The really good NFL franchises would be great upgrades, but those aren’t the jobs in consideration for Sark.

Those would be at the opposite end of the spectrum, the dysfunctional franchises that can’t get out of their own way., the ones that choose to not be competitive by letting their coming superstars go elsewhere.

Coaching Joe Burrow and the Bengals would be a dream. Working for the Cincinnati brain trust would be a nightmare.

Makes no difference. The strongest part of Texas right now is the defense. I doubt Sark can even name the starters.

This might be the biggest threat to the college game.

Things have to change or it could collapse on itself.
