The NFL team announced the third-round rookie from Alabama would not travel with the team on Friday because of a “coach’s decision.”

Then came news that Burton was being evicted from his apartment.

There's a word to describe people like him.

"Ghetto."

How can he not pay rent? He owes $2500, probably carries that much cash. And it’s not clear in the article, is he not traveling with the team because he is getting evicted?

Burton is emblematic of the kind of lax character filter Saban had towards the end.

I think he has gambling issues. There was a picture taken of him at 2 am playing slots in a casino, the night after a game he was supposed to play in but got benched because he no showed 2 walk throughs.

Our WR1 from last year. Won't even be in the NFL by next season. Total bust

That says it all right there. The talent level was sinking fast during Saban's final years - barely held together with discipline and excellent coaching

I suspect it is probably more in line with why they're seeking an additional 10k out of him, for additional damages above normal wear and tear. Dude was a shite tenant.

I genuinely think that the guy has some untreated mental illness. Hope he can get it straightened out, but I was shocked someone took him that high in the draft.

Talent is not Burton’s issue. The guy can ball.

Another one of Saban’s head scratching decisions.

If you’re going to get a portal guy, at least make sure they have an ounce of character.

A lot if Burton's value was bringing that edge. He was willing to push buttons and be the villain. In the NFL players are professional and dont need that presence on their team to play better

Burton is the type of guy you don’t want to live near or be around. If he didn’t have athletic ability he’d probably been in prison by now.

Barring injuries to BAMA's W1 & W2 in back-to-back postseason games Saban goes back-to-back natties in 2020 and 2021 and with a little bit better qb he goes 3 out of 4 years with a natty in 2023. Which means the rest of the talent was championship caliber. 2022 should've been like 2010. An outlier amidst 3/4 natties.

2023 and 2024 were absolutely torpedoed by Capt Lank.
