Christ Landers of Fansided mocking Bama because they lost to the OK and Ok lost to Navy 21-29. What he fails to mention is that the Okie team that lost to Navy wasn't the same team that beat Bama.. They lost 25 players to the portal and only 56 scholarship players were available for the game. The guy is either an idiot or is willfully deceptive.

Doesn't matter. All these idiots do is look at W/L records. They don't watch the games. They don't look at schedules. They just throat whoever ESPN and Joel Klatt talk about.

Most of the media that the playoff committee bows down to doesn't watch college football. Think of it just like mainstream media, but insert sports instead of politics. Same shite.

Why are people even still trying to litigate this? All the continued whining is just providing more evidence that the "debate" wasn't about anything other than Alabama itself

It’s really incredible how the media has demonized Alabama football. Sure they like to troll us for rage clicks. But the never ending crucifying of our program via articles like this or WSPN talking heads making childish troll attempts on live broadcasts makes me think that there is something much deeper to this. I mean, Lane Kiffin has been openly vocal about the playoff but he isn’t getting grilled every day. Georgia has been terrific since Kirby became their head coach. WSPN loves them some UGA.

the team that beat bama was horribly weak... their whole WR corp was out (5 of them), 4 OL out, RB out, as well as most of their starting DB. That loss sucks....a total black eye on the year.

There’s a reason Coach Bryant said “Here’s a twenty, bury two.”

Yep. Probably one of the reasons why the media hates UA football to this day. Among other reasons.

Well in that case, Alabama beat Wisconsin by a larger margin than Oregon and Penn State combined... and also sacrificed another touchdown for the mercy knee.

Yep. And, Coach Bryant's having been a star witness in the Butts trial, and having subsequently received a nice settlement for himself, is something else that many in the media never forgave him for. Probably 95% of the current sports media has no actual knowledge of that story, but the anti-UA mindset that followed that -- the media does NOT like being called out -- has carried forward..

Probably one of the same people that went to bat for Fla St last season and then made excuses for them after they lost by 100 to UGA

I just wonder what the idiot writer will say when Bama beats Michigan who beat OSU and then Ga wins the CFP, a team Bama laid 41 points on in a win.

Don’t know how anyone could disagree with, or downvote, this. It was a horrendously bad loss that kept us out of the CFP. Everyone knew what was at stake after Vandy and Tenner.

Is what it is at this point. Coaching staff and the players need to learn from it and move forward.

This is why I can't read the Rant right now. Every thread started omits this. BUT - we shouldn't have lost to them ANYWAY! This season has frustrated me so bad

Alabama showed up totally unprepared to play and yet they were only behind 10-3 at the start of the 3rd quarter. Bama had the ball, was driving and had 2nd down and manageable near mid field.
And then Milroe happened. Near pick six on a screen pass that the OU corner ran back to the 14 yard line. OU punched it in, kicked off, Milroe tosses a real pick 6 and suddenly it’s 24-3.
Then, when Bama seized some momentum, the ref on the OU sideline step forward with, I don’t think it’s ever been clarified, a strange penalty to take a TD off the board on 4th down.
This was a game Bret Venables and OU had circled and I believe prepped for all season complete with his signal stealers with binoculars in the press box.
The fans stormed the field. Venables ran around crying and hugging everyone. It saved his job and bought him more years.
It also effectively knocked Alabama out of the playoffs.
You could see this coming because Alabama had shite the bed earlier in the year after a big win against Georgia with a pathetic showing at Vanderbilt.
Big win against LSU and then go on the road to play a top 30 defense where the coach had two weeks to prep due to an off week.
It’s one of the most perturbing games I can remember.

Ive been majorly guilty of this...but its time to move on. Dont click on their rage bait, just make a note not to read their garbage in the future. Hopefully Bama beats Michigan
