Unless changes come ASAP, expect this each and every year - a few of our teams will not make it when they should. Next time it will be LSU being replaced by Indiana. Or Duke replacing Georgia.

They just established that SOS is not important.

Our commissioner should be fired. Our conference just became hugely Irrelevant in football.

Right now, I hope our new AD is on the phone canceling games with every OOC team with a pulse....

It does set a schedule shift

No more high profile matchups - SEC games are enough

Correct. People aren’t seeing this in their glee of Bama being left out.

This format is an SEC haters wet dream.

There is zero advantage to playing in this conference. It’s a negative.

Everyone chuckling about Bama but this was a body blow to the SEC. If we can’t get 4 teams out of 12 then wtf is this

In the grand tapestry of college football, it appears that the quality of your opponents has become utterly inconsequential. Why bother with the rigors of scheduling competitive non-conference games when you can simply pad your record with FCS teams? After all, in this enlightened era, trouncing the number two seed is apparently less impressive than stumbling against the fifteenth-ranked team.

I shall relish the spectacle of Penn State, with its superior intellect and strategy, utterly dismantling those unfortunate enough to be labeled as second-tier conference runners-up. And let's not overlook the committee's blatant favoritism, shall we? They've practically rolled out a red carpet for Texas, much like the SEC, ensuring their path to the semifinals is as smooth as a freshly Zamboni'd ice rink. Bravo, indeed, for such strategic matchmaking.

Expansion only weakens the field. They need to do away with all these help Bama rules now that Saban is retired.

We got three teams in. That’s not a blow. The conference had its worst year in a long time. We’ll bounce back.

Yep it will go to 16 teams and the SEC should demand 4 spots.

Correct, Greg Sankey is a moron and got played big time. Either that or he agreed to a very flawed system that truly makes zero sense

Arizona State and Boise get first round byes without any top 25 FEI wins and everyone on here celebrates.

SMU has an easier first round game than Tennessee and people celebrate.

Three teams that would be favored over Penn State, SMU, IU, Boise, ASU and Clemson along with possibly ND are left out and people celebrate.

Read that again: half the CFP would be dogs on a neutral site to SEC teams who are staying home and 75% of the fans on an SEC message board are clapping like seals.

Honestly LSU and Clemson need to cancel the upcoming series. No reason to schedule tough OOC game. Do like the Big 10 with the expanded conference 10 shitty teams lose two big games in conference beat scrubs equals playoff. Indiana played one tough team and lost and beat bottom feeders and they are world beaters and how can you leave out a one loss team

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't 4 spots out of 16 = to 3 spots out of 12?
