Texas 5-1 (Kentucky, Texas A&M left)
Texas A&M 5-1 (Auburn, Texas left)
Tennessee 5-2 (Vandy left)
Georgia 6-2 (done)
Alabama 4-2 (Oklahoma, Auburn left
Ole Miss 4-2 (Florida, Miss State left)

Everyone else already has 3 or more losses and have zero shot at making the championship.

So how does all this shake out? Of all six, only two still play one another, that being Texas and Texas A&M who play in two weeks. If the Horns win that one, they’re for sure heading to Atlanta. But if A&M wins, barring any weird upsets, there will likely be six SEC teams finish with an identical 6-2 conference record. Which two teams go to Atlanta then?

And even if Texas does beat A&M, that means while the Horns are assured a spot in the SEC championship, there would still be five SEC teams with identical 6-2 records, again barring any upsets. Which one of these five teams goes to Atlanta to face Texas?

Alabama and both Texas teams control their own destinies.

That Texas vs Texas A&M game is going to pull monster ratings.. crazy that we both are on top of the standings right now for the first game in 13 years

I think that calculator has Bama playing the Texas - A&M winner if there are no big upsets.

Who honestly would've thought Texas and A&M would be at the top of the standings with two games left and potential to play each other for a spot in the SECCG.

If favorites win, it will be Texas vs Bama.

If favorites win other than Texas/A&M, it will be A&M vs Bama.

If Bama loses then it will be UGA vs Texas/A&M

I don't think Ole Miss or Tennessee can get in anymore since UGA is done with their SEC schedule.

As a Dawg, I honestly hope we don't get to that stupid SEC championship and get to rest and recover a month.

I totally get where you're coming from, you've been there before.

As for Texas, this is our first SEC season and it would be great to make the SECCG and even greater to win it and not only get that trophy but a first round bye. On the other hand losing will not only suck, but give us a disadvantage in the playoffs.

I never thought I would see myself say this, but this particular football team is different than our previous championship squads. They need that extra time so we can get healthy.

I get that. It would be cool for you guys.

I think my dawgs are too beat up and need some recovery time, plus they aren't looking like they would have an easy time in it.

The advantage of not having a bye might be getting, hopefully, a patsy that would shake the rust off after a month.

I wonder what the records are going to be like for teams getting a bye? It will be interesting to look at in a few years. Maybe, they will be perfect, or maybe there will be unexpected upsets.

Florida beat Kentucky 48-20. OM better have their heads in the game and I can see Miss State, putting up a fight for the egg bowl to ruin their hopes.

The last time things were this complicated Florida and Tennessee played Auburn regularly but not one another.
